  1. WWM when we went to the mall daughter found a store that only took pesos. Hubby was a bit angry. Needless to say we took our money elsewhere.

I can't imagine a better place to sled. I grew up in Michigan with all the glorious snow, but White Sands is much better and a lot warmer!!

  2. Yep, that sounds like El Paso and I wouldn't spend money in a store like that, either. When I was a kid downtown El Paso was so neat. Now you don't even know which side of the border you're on. It's sad.

  3. Good evening all. A large glass of chilled white wine please. Last week was s*** and this one doesn't look to be much better. Chocolate needed too, lots of Cabury's and some really dark, bitter chocolate too.

  4. *Kilroy pushes a barrowful of chocolate and a bottle of her favorite Chardonnay through the wormhole to PM* Hope you don't mind Chardonnay, this one's very nice.

  5. PM I have some Lindt dark chocolate. I also have a chilled German white wine, Piesporter. Although a nice Chardonnay sounds good too!

  6. The last of my dark chocolate and marzipan from Europe through the wormhole to PM!

WWM - east vs west El Paso apparently. The name should have been a give-away.. Vaqueros. But then, we didn't know the name of the club before we headed over. All in all, it was a good weekend... a long drive but worth it. We took the TransMountain road on the way out of town.... nice views !

  7. Mmmm it is almost happy hour here...Sauvignion Blanc/chilled for a Summertime refreshment, yes, with some dark chocolate/even Dove will do.

  8. El Paso actually has lots to offer. But I would never want to live there again. The name of the club was Vaqueros? Yeah, that would be a hint. You would have fit in nicely with your new boots, though!

  9. Have I missed all the chocolate?

Posted 9 months ago by MadcatwomanintheUK #

  10. Hardly, MCW - there's always chocolate around here!

*shoves an assortment of Godiva chocolate through the cat hole to the UK and MCW*

  11. Never MCW, but is there an interaction with your meds and chocolate?? Have to cover all the bases!

Posted 9 months ago by SoxsMom #

  12. Virtual chocolate is guaranteed to have no interactions!

  13. yay! I got some lovely chocolate from MCW in the mail today! Its cooling in the fridge as it is flat as a pancake and soft! Will have after supper! Thanks MCW

  14. Was it Cadburys? MMMMMMM English chocolate is so much better than American. They use less sugar in the recipes.

    Posted 9 months ago by KYKAT 12 23 #

  15. I'll take the Sauvignon Blanc or (and) the Chardonnay please. The Piesporter is a bit sweet for my taste these days, although I suppose if I drink it with the Cadbury's Dairy Milk......... Hmmmmmmmmmmm. Yes, I'll have the Piesporter too please. I used to LOVE Piesporter when I first Lived in Germany, and my best German friend gave me a bottle of Piesporter Goldtröpfchen for my 21st birthday present. It was an exceptional wine, an exceptional year, wonderful.

  17. WWM - I prefer to be in clubs where I can understand, at least mostly, what is being said. LOL I know... I'm picky !

  19. I like Mosel wines from Germany best.

Posted 9 months ago by SoxsMom #

  20. I love bone dry French wines now, I only drink the sweeter German ones with pudding, or when I'm in Germany of course, but even in Germany I tend to go for the dryer Franken and Baden wines.

  21. I normally drink merlot. I like a nice dry red wine. Can't really get the best German wine in the US--just isn't the same.

  22. Mike's fever is back up at 102.2 so I'm going to call his doctors office now for trying to make an appointment for today. Wish us luck.

Posted 9 months ago by ginirosaru #

  23. Gini, make sure he goes to the ER if his temp keeps up. Prolonged periods of time with an elevated temp (over 101) can cause PERMANENT brain damage! I am worried about him. Keeping him on the prayer list. Goodness, we sure do have a lot of folks on TDK not doing well. OHHHH! I love German wines!

    Posted 9 months ago by mollycat71 #

  24. Good luck, I hope Mike's fever breaks soon and that he starts to feel better quickly.

Cool baths and iced water ..................

    Posted 9 months ago by Pollys_Mum_in_UK_2605 #

  25. Oh Gini, poor Mike. I'm sure the doctor will fit him in. Keep us posted!

Posted 9 months ago by MadcatwomanintheUK #

  26. Gini I was thinking no news was good news. Hope you can get an appointment, but if you can't perhaps you could go to the ER or a Quick Care of some sort.

  27. Hi all! I had a busy day today and didn't get a chance to check in. Got up early to walk the dog, went home to feed the boys and give Bobby his pill and go online to get the rules for the tennis league that started today. Left home by nine to go to the club and coach my team through their matches. It was a lot of fun and everyone had a great time. After that I went to lunch with 3 of the girls and then back to the dog's place to walk him and jump in the pool - it got up to 95 degrees on the court today!
Back home to say hi to the boys and then to work.

Tomorrow I'm going to go help another team with their first match and then I'm meeting two friends for lunch at the Cheesecake Factory for one's birthday. Thursday I'm halping with two matches and starting a two-day dog-sitting job. This is one LONG week!

Hope everyone's having a great day. Hope Gini's Mike is feeling better and that FH's doctor can help her.
