  1. Help! As you know, Mia went to her new permanent home last Tue. Apparently she's having some trouble making the transition. The problem isn't the other cat in the house...as expected, Mr. Saucer took to her immediately and wants to play. But Mia has parked herself under a bed and isn't coming out, even to eat much. I think she's using the litterboy ok.

I know this is a typical cat into situation. But Sarah, her new mom, is getting nervous. She really wants them to like each other, and to like her...although she said it's more important to her for the kitties to get along, than for Mia to take to her....isn't that sweet and unselfish!

If you have some words of encouragement, would you mind posting them, so I can show them to Sarah...give her a little encouragement. Thanks, Ladies.

Oh, and I guess it's time to let the OTHER cat out of the bag.

    Ready?

    Gatakitty is taking Madonna!!!!

  3. Sarah, it takes time and Mia is just getting her bearings of the land so to speak. Please be patient and let her come to you and Mr. Saucer.

Congrats Gatakitty & Madonna, and to you LisaeyLau of course!

  4. Lisa, Mia just needs to assess her surroundings, she needs a bit more time, tell Sarah to hang in there. She will do it on her own terms.

YEA!!! Madonna is going to a good home with Gatakitty!!! That is the best news. Congrats Ginny, Madonna and Lisa!!!

  5. Yeah for Gatakitty! I think time will help with Mia's adjustment....some kitts take longer than others...I hope Sarah won't give up on her!

  6. Please tell Sarah that the important reactions are coming from Mr. Saucer. If he is willing to share everything with Mia, she's home free. She will make the adjustment if she's given enough time.

The key to it all is time.

  7. Just normal cat behavior. When I was little we adopted an adult siamese tomcat, Heathcliff. The first two weeks we had him he hid from everyone and would only come out at night when we were all asleep. He eventually got used to us and was a loving and friendly cat the rest of his days.

  8. How wonderful Gatakitty!!! as far as Mia...like the others said, it's a matter of time. If Sarah starts to stress too much over this, please invite her to log in to TDK for encouragement and to ask any questions she might have.

  10. I think that I have actually known some litterboys......

Yay, Gatakitty for giving Madonna a new home!

Yay, for Mr. Saucer of the incredibly cool name, for accepting Mia.

Now, Mia - come out from under the bed for a few minutes at a time. We know that you're nervous and just need time to adjust. But peek out for a second - see, Mr. Saucer is waiting for you!
