    I am such a sucker!!!

It's also a good idea to refrain from watching infomercials about food while hungry!!!

  2. OMG...FH..did you get one. Hey you never know, it might be awesome..
We went to the great american food show a few years ago and got suckered into buying this cooking things..I used them once...

  3. Yes, I ordered one! My rationale is this---it is so dang hot here already (98 and humid today) that I won't have to turn on the oven or cook over the stove (it supposedly cooks faster) and I can still have a decent meal. I imagine throwing in a piece of fish, some veggies and spices and having a delectable meal! :) It might only happen once, but it will happen! ;)

I think I'll use it--esp. while I'm off this summer. I bought a sandwich machine years ago and stopped using it only because it was hard to clean out--too many grooves.

  4. You know..I have a forman grill and I love it but it's a pain to clean. It's an older one so the grill part doesn't remove..I told Wayne we have to get a new one so I can clean it better and now that we are a family of 4 we need more room on one.
I hate turning on the oven in summer, so this might be the perfect thing for you!!

  5. Hey FH after you get it will you tell us how it works. I had thought about getting one for my father-in-law. Since my mother-in-law died I am afraid that he doesn't cook much for himself. He has congestive heart failure, so I am always worried that he will get to weak from lack of proper meals. When my mother-in-law was alive, he would cook healthy meals for her. If he could fix a meal in one appliance, quickly and healthy, I would love to get him one.

  6. SM, does your FIL have a crockpot? That might help him fix meals in a simple way, and if it's hot where he is the crockpot won't heat up the kitchen much.

  7. FH, can't wait to hear how you like it. It looked like a more flexible George Foreman. I used mine to death but, like CM, got tired of cleaning it. I ended up getting a nice toaster oven that grills, broils, toasts and bakes and use it all summer long. It saved us when my real oven was broken and it tood 2 months to get the part in.

  8. How funny - I just saw an infomercial about this the other day. I seldom watch network television but I was actually considering buying this! I'll be anxious to know if you like it, FH. Mr. WWM would cringe, I know, and think "great - one more gadget that she doesn't use". I'm a sucker for kitchen stuff!

  9. He won't use a crockpot--says everything taste like soup. I told him only if you are making soup. I tried sending recipes, but I heard he gave the crockpot to someone.

  10. FH, I would curious to know if it works well for you. I had a nice convection oven (a wedding gift) but left it behind when I moved out because it was messed up by ex (should have tossed it in the garbage). If I try to replace that oven, it will cost me around $200-250 (bought it when it was $130 with a gift card given as a wedding gift from my employer at that time).

  11. OMG! I know what you mean! I ended up buying a few work outs on the night shift. Funny thing is I DO use them! But I can't now until I am given the green ligth to again. My coworker has that gadget and uses it all the time FH! It's just her and her hubby and that is about the only thing they use to cook. Their over rarely gets turned on, except for holidays. Let us know if you like it as well! YAY!

  12. It does look awesome.....let us know how you like it.....I have a smaller George Foreman which I love.....it is just for the 2 of us....don't think cleaning is too bad, I try to clean most of it before it cools, stuff comes off easily then, just be careful not to burn yourself!!!!

  13. I just saw this. I ordered one yesterday!!! I'm very excited! I don't have an oven - just a microwave, a little toasteroven and a hot plate. I got it as my birthday present to myself. :)

  14. I balked a bit at the cost of shipping - it'd better be worth it!

Posted 2 years ago by GreatDane #

  15. FH - you'll have to let me know what you cook in your and how you like it and I'll do the same. They have a lot of neat recipes!

  16. Bump for FH!

  17. That's a great idea, GD! I was just thinking today, while I was at the store, that I'll probably do 'Steak and Ale' marinated chicken and some fresh veggies for the first dish. My mom makes this chicken all of the time for family gatherings. I'll look for the marinade recipe if you're interested--I know it has teriyaki sauce, garlic, pineapple and a few other ingredients.

  18. Ooooh, that sounds great! I was thinking of making chicken, too. I'm going to have to try to get more protein. I can't wait for it to show up!!! :)

  19. I think you guys are gonna love it, my friends do!

    Posted 2 years ago by mollycat71 #

  20. YAY - I just got an email that they've shipped it to me. Maybe I'll have it by my birthday! I can bake myself a birthday cake in it! :)

  21. A few weeks ago, I made 'Cuban Quesadillas' from a recipe that was posted on MSN. They'd be so much faster/easier in this machine! They were sooooooo good, too! Two flour tortillas, roast beef, swiss cheese, mustard, pickles, and I added onion. Talk about yummy!!

Posted 2 years ago by FondaHonda #

  22. I will be over for more FH!

    Posted 2 years ago by mollycat71 #

  23. I just got an email, too! :)

It's strange, though, that it says to expect it in 7 to 10 business days. I was under the impression that 'if you order now, we'll upgrade it to express shipping.' Sorry, but 7 to 10 business days is not express shipping!!

Posted 2 years ago by FondaHonda #

  24. Ooooh, quesadillas!!!

Posted 2 years ago by GreatDane #

  25. I know! I thought the same thing! It's not like shipping was cheap!
It said 7-10 from the date you ordered, though, which is still more than it should take with express shipping!

  26. Scroll down toward the bottom:

Their idea of express shipping (look at their regular shipping) is a heck of a lot different than it should be.

I hope the machine isn't a rip-off like their claim of express shipping! :(

  27. LADIES! My friends have one and love it! I know you will too! I bought something once too that said "express shipping" and came two weeks later! Ended up LOVING the product, the shipping left something to be desired!

    Posted 2 years ago by mollycat71 #

  28. I'd never order anything that would take 4-6 weeks to show up. Geez!
I'm still looking forward to receiving it - but it had better be good! :)

Posted 2 years ago by GreatDane #

  29. For the amt. they charged for shipping, it really SHOULD be here within 3-4 business days after ordering. That's what express USUALLY means!

Posted 2 years ago by FondaHonda #

  30. Yep!
Didn't take them long to take my money!
