  1. Oh dear, I've never opened the morning Cafe before. May I presume?

*morning agency kitties.....photon increase warning.....yep, lights turned on*

*opening windows, letting in fresh air....asking the kitties for guidance.....morning buffet set up with all sorts of good breakfast beverages and wonderful food.....anything anyone wants to order.......kitties are helping me*

The night shift is winding down and so I thought I might presume to open the cafe for my first ever time? If I've presumed rudely, my apologies.

  2. Anyone up early, Paradox could use advice about caring for his Bella. She is having a difficult time after her Spa visit earlier his day down under. The thread is http://www.dailykitten.com/chat/topic/14297

  3. Marnet, anyone's most welcome to open the cafe, good on you for doing it!

Yeah, I've just read Paradox's latest posting, I don't like the sound of it. She should be waking up by now, not getting weaker.

  4. I dearly hope the vet didn't botch the spaying! I'm afraid it sounds like it. I hope he takes the advice to call for help NOW.

  5. *hot tea, hot coffee, fresh squeezed orange juice, cold milk, fresh baked pastries, crisp bacon, juicy sausages, hash brown potatoes, eggs cooked to order, buttermilk pancakes with pure maple syrup, fresh fruits galore....*

*agency kitties looking for laps.....busy tackling sunbeams on the floor in the meantime*

  6. Oooh, ooh, sun, lemme at it... *Elbows kitties out of the way to get to a sunny spot on the floor.*

*Looks ashamed.* Sorry kitties, it's just so cold and wet here...

  7. ROFLOL

Here Jcat, sending you lots of WARM sunlight through the wormhole.

*hands her some catnip to make peace with the kitties*

  8. Thank you, Marnet, that feels divine!

I see Paradox has just answered...

Posted 2 years ago by jcat #

  9. Yes, I just answered him back. Sounds like maybe (?) the moistness was from Bella licking at the incision and stitches. Still, I hope he does call the emergency vet to get some professional answers right away.

  10. Morning peeps! I think it's fun when we take turns opening the breakfast cafe. I'll take a sleepy purr kitten and some coffee with irish cream, please.

Posted 2 years ago by Siobhan #

  11. Sleepy purr kitten and coffee to order coming right up. Good morning.

Posted 2 years ago by Marnet #

  12. Morning Siobhan, sorry to eat and run but I am really cold here and all that lovely sunlight Marnet sent me through the wormhole has all run out... So night-night/have a great day!

  13. Night Jcat. Thanks for the help with Paradox. I feel so much better with someone besides just me talking with him about Bella right now.

Stay warm, get some sleep, and God bless.

  14. Take care :)

  15. Morning all! I will have some of those delicious pancakes and syrup along with some sausages. Please send a smaller kitteh so that I can wrap them around my neck like a nice hot pack. I still feel awful and my neck is in HUGE amounts of pain today. Probably has to do with that awful rain outside! Buckets and buckets of it. I see the neurosurgeon this morning, hope he has a solution as to why my fever was high yesterday. Come to think of it, I haven't taken it this morning. Guess I should! :)

  16. Siobhan, does the coffee help? How is your morning? *pets the purring sleepy kitten*

Posted 2 years ago by Marnet #

  17. Morning Mollycat. *hands her perfectly sized kitten for a warm, healing purring, neck wrap* Pancakes with maple syrup and sausages cooked to perfection coming right up. *slides hot plate over*

Wish you felt better and hope you get both some answers and lots of relief when seeing the doctor today. *hugs*

The radar shows Chicago getting hammered with storms. No wonder you hurt!

  18. We are getting your rain MC...

Morning to everyone!!! Maddie is up, so I am hitting the ground running :) At least I have her changed and dressed..she wanted to watch blue's clues so she's all snuggled on the couch with my pillows and a blanket watching her show.
We asked her about why she was on the floor last night and 1/2 under the bed but of course, she didn't answer :)
Glad you are seeing the surgeon today MC
Time to go make some breakfast for her before Abbers gets up....

  19. I do! It's so funny, when they cracked the top of my skull in surgery it took about 11 staples to put ole' Humpty Dumpty back together again. That is where the most pressure is in my head when a storm is a brewing! I wonder who long it takes a cracked skull to heal!? I am at 99*F this morning. That's lower but still high for me. I could be playing volleyball in the sun in the summer heat and would still be 97.4*. Hmm, wait and see. I love my kitteh, fits around my neck purrfectly and is purring for extra help. These pancakes, nom nom nom nom nom and sausage-nom nom nom nom nom......

  20. Ooh, the coffee and sleepy kitty are just the trick! (pets the warm buzzing furrball)

Hermes was at the side of the bed, waiting for me to notice him this morning. I love that! Big purring cat first thing in the morning. :-) We had a nice little cuddle session and he drooled on me (sighs with happy memory)

Posted 2 years ago by Siobhan #

  21. Yes, purring warm furry kitty love around the neck feels wonderful some days!

11 staples!?! Good grief, didn't realize they cracked it open THAT much. OUCH!!!!!!!

Here, have more pancakes and sausage. You've earned it girl.

Posted 2 years ago by Marnet #

  22. Siobhan, yes, aren't days better when they start with furry company to greet you good morning? It's the only way to wake up!

  23. Hi MC, CM,Marnet, JCat, Sio, and anyone else coming into the cafe. I'll take a nice cheese/onion/bacon omelet please with wheat/raisin toast and coffee. I just found out the Humane Society is sponsoring another cruise for Jan 2010 and I am going down to the agency to check on it. Yay, something to look forward to! Have a great day everyone. Hi to ABS should she check in.

Posted 2 years ago by SammyandOliversmama #

  24. Morning Sammyandoliversmama. *slides fresh cooked breakfast order to her along with sunshiny kittens for company*

    Oooo, a cruise? Where to?

Posted 2 years ago by Marnet #

  25. Time for me to tackle the day's business. I'll check in later when I can.

*asks the kitties to take over running the breakfast buffet......leaves everything well warmed or chilled as appropriate......tosses some fresh catnip toys to the kits......leaves a bright candle lit for everyone needing prayers this day....*

God bless and good morning all. Later.

*steps around romping, catnip drunk kitties....oh dear and I'm leaving them in charge of things....LOL*

Posted 2 years ago by Marnet #

  26. Morning to all those whom have come in, sitting here freezing this morning @ w**k and hands have now fallen asleep. Oh well such is life, what does one do....punt!

Cruise sounds nice right now, or a resort, either one would work for me.

  27. Morning all!

Raining here too, bleah. We are all just sick of rain, can't believe it's the middle of June. And hubby is rained out of tennis *again*. Bleah.

On a brighter note, I got a decent night's sleep after 2 nights of sleeping badly, so that was a good thing. Woke up to a kitty nose poking me, "Hey lady, get up. Get up lady. It's time to feed me". Poke, poke, meow. He's happy because hubby is hanging around instead of rushing off to tennis.

    MC, I'm glad you're seeing your doc today; make sure you tell him everything that's been going on. {{MC}}

I could use some coffee, and if there's any of that nice sunshine to spare it would be welcome.

  28. Hi everyone! Kilroy, I think it's time to get the boats out - no need to take 'em to a lake at the rate we're going!
My turn for a crummy night's sleep. Couldn't turn the brain off. Vitamin Water Energy coming my way. Stupid cold doesn't help either. Oh well.
Our middle schooler's are graduating today! Needless to say, it won't be outside, but as opposed to most times when it's moved inside, it won't be sweltering; temps should only get to the high 60's.
    School's (almost) Out For Summer!!!

Posted 2 years ago by JoanfromNewJersey #

  29. Good Morning One and All!!
I sure hope you get some relief and answers today, MC, when you see the doc!
Joan, you easterners go longer in school than us midwesterners! You must be smarter :)) My granddaughter got out June 9th, which is later than it ever was that I can remember!
It's dreary here, too....not sure what the forecast is, but it does seem like summer will be here and gone before we have any decent weather!
I put a box on the floor and Gizmo decided to make it his home :)

Posted 2 years ago by katthays #

  30. Aren't cats in boxes funny, Kat? George is still loving the one we brought home from the warehouse store a couple of weeks ago, it's not very big and certainly not big enough for him to fit, but he loves it and sleeps in it all day.

Hi Joan! (waving across the river) The rain is the pits, isn't it? Hubby is getting *so* grumpy from lack of tennis. Glad to hear your summer's almost here; maybe we can organize a get-together?
