Ive had my kitten 'monkey' for about a week now. For the first few days she was shy and quiet. shes gotten used to me now and plays around but since this is my first kitten, Im not really comfortable with her biting or scratching me. She loves playing around with paper balls but she gets really excited when playing and ends up chasing my feet if I dont throw the ball and play with her. Also, She likes to ambush me! She waits in a corner and when i pass by, she runs really fast gives me a tap on my heel or toe and goes away. When it gets too rough, I clap really loud followed by a strong NO. I really dont wanna spray it with water. Are there any other`ways to tell my kitty to stop!

Kitten Getting Rowdy

Hi A, welcome to TDK! Sounds like kitty wants to play "Tag, you're it!". If she bites or gets too rough, try putting your hand on the back of her neck and pushing her head down *gently* while hissing at her; that's what a momma cat would do. Another thing to try is to walk away from her if she bites; kitties love attention, so ignoring them can be an effective way to get them to stop doing something.
