owner doesn't want her 16 year old Himalayan cat brings to shelter

  1. Thank you Annie. I confess to being downright obsessive about cats. I have, however, drawn a firm line against more than the four I now have. I refuse to become a cat hoarder and four is my personal limit I can manage to care for by myself. Other people are able to manage a larger brood but these four are my limit and privilege to be owned by.

  2. If someone can get her to CA, I'll love her for the reaminder of her sweet life. BTW, I'd be grouchy too if I wasn't loved.
These so called people make me sick

  3. Last year I adopted a 14 year old black cat "Chessie" from the Burbank, CA shelter.
She's a grouchy gal but will purr up a storm when cuddled.

  4. My brother and his wife adopted an 8 year old cat one time. His owner had died and kitty had nowhere to go. He was a sweet, dear pet until kidney failure got him at age 14.

  5. I have a friend with a 17 year old gray longhair boy kitty named Toots, he is so cool. She takes such good care of him, he doesn't look his age! Mine are only 2 but I look forward to a long and happy life with them!

  7. It would be so great if someone could adopt her, I can't have anymore than I currently have. My landlord gave me a limit of 4, well ok I am just a tad over but can't afford anymore without taking away from the others. So TL, I do hope that you can do this :)

  9. that makes me so mad and sad. My last cat lived to over 20 years and I loved her so much even when she had bad coughing spells near the end. She more then a cat to me. Like all my cats they ARE my family.

  10. When you really love a cat it is forever. I still miss my Sammie doodle who died six years ago.
I posted another link to cats in need in the Newsroom thread. I don't want to over do the posting. I can't help myself this week. Just look at the beautiful faces!

Happy Father's Day to any fathers two or four footed.

  12. Could you call? Did you e-mail both addresses. It might be she is rescued or adopted. But it doesn't hurt to send another e-mail or call.

  16. Thanks Elizabeth. I called the # and I think this is good news. She is no longer at the kill shelter, she has been taken by a rescue group who will find her a home. Happy to hear that she is safe.
