Well I took Max in today for his check up in Campbell. I was so happy and excited when the vet said he looks god and healthy and that we jsut need to wait on the blood work. Well then I got a call at 5:45pm. His red blood cell count is perfect. But his white blood cell count is a little low. I take him back for more blood work on July 3rd for a recheck to see if his white count is low still or even lower. Should this become a large issue and the bills start racking up I can't afford it and unless my aprents help me which means I will be even more indebt to them I may have to make the hard choice of my life. I am so down and depressed and praying like hell I am over acting and not going to have to do something more. Even if the parents help I know there is a limit and without a full term job coming up or even a possibility of one in the near future I am screwed! If I am not around much don't worry I'll be back eventually with an update!

Angie, don't fret yet. I know it is hard but Max is going to be fine. TDK will get behind you and Maxx bigtime with prayers and white light. Don't worry just yet and don't think the worst. OK?

Don't put the cart before the horse. You said it is a little low--that could be for a variety of simple reasons. Don't worry before there is a need. Even your vet said he looked good and healthy. Max is seeing a vet every 3-4 months, so whatever might be going on should be caught quickly. Prayers of comfort and peace to you Ange and prayers of restoration of health to Max!

Try not to worry, Ange. I know that is easier said than done. Did the vet seem concerned about MaxMax's white blood cell count being a little low? If he or she isn't worried, you don't need to be. I know you have been taking great care of MaxMax. He is a strong, young cat. The odds are in his favor that he will overcome whatever is going on (and it may be nothing). {{{hugs}}}

I feel a little less stressed and worried this morning not much but some. I know my parents will help even though there will be a limit and as of right now my finances are ver tight to get my through the summer to my next pay check which could be as early as october or as late as November. I just praying it's a fluke or something very easy to diagnos and honestly as cheap as possible sine I still am slowly paying off the last lone from parents for his health issues! Well this morning I have a doctors appointment withh a tossing tummy and more then likely a high blood pressure reading! Catch you all later.

I know what you mean when you hear something from the vet that has you jumping to conclusions. Try to think positive and that it is a one time event.

Ange there are going to be normal fluctuations in Max's blood counts both high and low and what is important is the overall picture,not one specific reading. Please continue to enjoy your two sweet darling animals and try not to worry about things you cannot control. I know how that is,I do the same thing...it doesn't work though.

Try not to worry, Ange, though I know it's so hard, you love that boy to pieces, but his red blood cell is great and he's a healthy boy. And if he does need more treatment, well, I know how hard it is to owe your parents (believe me, I know) but, as all the parents I know keep telling me, that's what parents are for, they actually LIKE helping out their kids and WANT to do it. Besides, they love Max too.

Oh Ange....I've been sick and just heard about this. I know how frightened you are....I am too. I'm praying that the next blood test will show a perfectly normal count.
