Good Morning all!! I am so tired!! With the storms poor Sherlock was scared sick. Literally because he ended up getting sick at 4am. So I had to get him out, clean the kennel, and then give him a bath. He is doing much better now.
WWM King snakes and Bull snakes will both eat Rattle snakes! Any snake that will eat a rattler gets my vote--and they are nonvenomous! Elvis should do a good job--but I'd count those turtles--if he gets hungry! You said he just shed so he may move on soon.

Poor Sherlock, getting all scared like that! I find when I dog-sit, the dogs generally get much more scared in bad storms than my cats do. My guys will lay in the windows and watch the rain and lightning. The thunder will be roaring, and they're just laying ther checking it out.
Speaking of sitting in the window...Mi has made a new friend! There's a lizard that comes by every night and hangs out on the window in bathroom. Miles goes NUTS trying to get it, but of course he can't. The lizard has been visiting every evening for almost two weeks now and he's keeping Mi occupied. Yesterday he didn't come to eat his wet food because the lizard was there. That was a first! -

Morning/Afternoon, all. Sounds like some areas are just inundated with the rain, and now we can hardly get any. With all the snow, and then the flooding we had, you wouldn't think the ground would be dry here, but it really is. And as ususal, we went from winter to summer with no spring to speak of, so now it's 85, muggy and not supposed to rain till maybe Monday--yuck. Although, part of the very southeastern part of North Dakota had 8 inches of rain two days ago, and completely inundated the town of Abercrombie. We had showers Wednesday--that's about it.
Hope everyone enjoys their week-end. GD, Kilroy--send some of your rain this way too, please.

Wow, hope the storms are not over Tampa, I hate flying into raing/stormes.... bumpy rides might scare Bobby, Cuddles and Abby, who are sound asleep beside me as we wait for the plane.... they had a late night last night!......we discovered that the ossobucco down here is wonderful, in fact the best thing we've had all week, in fact had it twice it was so good......
....how is everyone this morning? catch me up on what's been going on.... sounds like from the other thread CM had a right night (huggs)... and SM and GD are having bad weather..... what else have I missed?........ (TDK withdrawals have been hard!)... LOL

We had a lot more storm than we did rain. It is the thunder that scares Sherlock. Sherlock is also frightened of the man that was yelling at him. I have no idea what is up with hubby. We, like WWM are deeply in need of rain and have prayed for it. We are got some last night thankfully! I think we might get a bit more today--and we still need it.

Odie LOVES snakes and wants to hide him......."here boy"....you'll love Gainesville, people there won't try and cut your head off, I promise!...... and we thank you for eating all those nasty insects that bother us so much!!!....... *peers under "cacti" and tumbleweeds in Midland looking for Elvis*.....
.... pushes a bag of "rotten" bananas (that seem to have miracuriously appeared here ) thru wormhole to WWM's kitchen to distract her.....

I don't think he could eat a turtle, do y'all? My turtles are pretty big and what with their shell and all I can't imagine how he could even begin to swallow them. This morning we found a new baby in the grass and Mr. WWM put her in the flower bed where the other babies hang out. Elvis is outside the flower bed curled up under the barbecue grill. Hey, that gives me an idea! They say it tastes just like chicken.......
Maybe I'll make a belt out of the skin that Elvis so thoughtfully left behind last night.

It is the baby I would worry about. Perhaps Elvis is feeling that bond with Mr. WWM and would like a juicy T-bone! Maybe a little ribeye! Or he might be a sirlion type of guy! I hope you aren't planning on grilling--Elvis needs to relocate a little--perhaps to the front yard--will never have to worry about robbery, delivery, or visits...somehow snakes tend to keep people away. Sad really since Elvis is such a good guy.

I wish that we could scare Elvis into another location outside of the backyard. I really don't mind him being around because we live on the edge of the desert and there are rattlesnakes all around. But I am kind of worried about my little baby turtles.

Poor baby turtles! Smack him hard WWM, that is what we used to do growing up! Or if my dad was feeling especially frisky he would fire up the riding lawn mower......

We had so many snakes, we lived on top of an abandoned coal mine and had a big forest area behind our house. My dad had his fun! So did our cats carrying them around in their mouths! Sorta like Willow and Windi's snakes!

We read their list of favorite foods and didn't find turtle mentioned. So maybe Elvis won't pay any attention to them. Last night when I was feeding the turtles one of them was right near Elvis and neither one of them acted like they cared. We will give him a chance.

Hey everyone! Just here for a bit... had to check up on everyone. I'm headed to the shower. Racquetball - 2 games, and then ran through 8 hulas that i'll be doing tonight. yikes... i'm a sweaty mess! Need to braid my hair for "hawaiian hair" tonight.
Discovered i can't leave my silk leis about on the floor.... silly Mili likes to chew on them !!!! ACK!
