   It's with a heavy heart that I post this for my Son, but as he got in the car to drive back to Gainesville, he got the call that he HAD to get rid of his cats!........this is absolutely KILLING him..... he is such an animal lover, and has had these two beautiful little girls since they were kittens......he needs ALL that special TDK white lights and prayers that you can muster......

   ......Odie the skunk already has a home, as does his other animals, but the fraternity has ABSOLUTELY forbidden the cats, effective immediately.... being in Gainesville, Fl. if you know anyone within driving distance that might want two beautiful little girls, tabbies please let me know. Luna is 2 yrs old, Venus is about 11 mos. They have had all their shots, are spayed, use advantage regularly, and have NO health issues. They are GREAT together, and are especially wonderful around a lot of people - hey would be fantastic with children......his MAJOR concern is that they stay together, and they go only to a home that sincerely loves cats (like ours)........

   ..... I have never posted on pet finder, I am so unsure about other sites, I trust you guys, and consider you like family..... any advise would be greatly appreciated, along with that powerful TDK prayer!..... I've seen it work miracles many times......... THANKS EVERYONE.

   OMG AV,I know how devastating that can be,your son and his kits have my prayers that the kitties get a top notch home. Can you foster them for a while until they have a home?
   I'm so sorry to hear this,I'd take them in a heartbeat but I'm maxed out with animals right now. [[[[Hugs]]]

   Thanks guys, I can take them only a few weeks.... and then we move again..... unfortunately, they DO NOT get along with Cuddles and Abby, and since we are already downsizing, I simply cannot do it........Thank you for your prayers and support, I know how powerful TDK prayers can be.......

   Oh, AV - how awful for your son! Could you call your vet tomorrow and see if they know of anyone who is looking for kitties? Our vet kind of keeps a list like that. And I have heard that Craigslist is a good way to try and find a home for a kitty. You can always put an ad in the newspaper in the "for free" section of the want ads.

   Praying that Luna and Venus will find wonderful homes together!

   ...the vet is a good idea... he is hesitant about Craigs list, but I guess if he could meet them... he has really good instincts.....I will definitely check into Pet Finder.....

   ... thanks for the prayers and huggs, he will need them! (*snif* and so will I).....my heart breaks for him too!..... these are two really special kitties, especially Luna, she is a "Dewey"!.... maybe I'll have him contact the local library (worth a shot)... he has a friend that would take Venus, but he hates that Luna would be left out..... *tears now*

    AV, are they real gentle? We have a nursing home here with an Alzheimer's Unit that is an Eden Unit. Meaning animals roam freely, sleep with the residents, etc. Ours here has a resident kitty. Some places won't do that because of people being allergic to cats. But it's a thought, maybe.

    I go to facilities that have cats that roam too! That is a fantastic idea! The best part about cats is they can sit on the residents laps whereas most dogs can't! They do usually require nail tips on the cat's due to the residents fragile skin but other than that the possibility could be great!

    {{{AV&SON}}}, this is awful news AV, so sorry. I like the last two ideas though, you KNOW they would be loved in a nursing home and they will need two of them to go around ;o) I will pray for a positive outcome for Luna and Venus and a home that they deserve!

    Plus, Luna and Venus would be providing a much, much needed service. I am always amazed at how patients who respond to nothing else will respond to an animal. It is a beautiful thing to see.

    .... I will definitely recommend that to Son!... a great idea!... when his grandpa (Dadu) was in the nursing home ( a year ago )... son brought "baby" Nef, to visit him, and the staff and patients went "wild" for her!.... Luna is probably just the type cat that would do well there, she loves EVERYBODY!.....

    .... and don't be surprized if Son (Odie or Odo) posts later, I told him I would start a thread, so he will probably weigh in!......

    I am so sorry you son has to go thru this. I know what he is feeling. About 7 years ago I had to give my calico away to my dads friend because I could not keep her when we moved. I still miss her everyday and wish I could just see her one more time. My prayers are with your son. I hope he can find them a nice safe home.

    Thanks all, we're trying desparately!....... have put out SOS signals to friends and family, hopefully something will work out.....he really only needs someone to "foster" them for a year, he's more than will to take them back when he graduates next spring..... keep the prayers coming.....

    Oh AV, that's the sort of news that breaks your heart when you are owned by two wonderful cats. I hope a wonderful solution presents itself. I'm so sorry for your son to be facing this.
