  1. The Pasta Diet and Your Health

ITALIAN PASTA DIET -- IT REALLY WORKS !!

1.. You walka pasta da bakery.

2.. You walka pasta da candy store.

3.. You walka pasta da Ice Cream shop.

4.. You walka pasta da table and fridge.

    You will lose weight!

    AND....

CONCERNED ABOUT TOO MANY CARBS IN YOUR DIET?

For those of you who watch what you eat,
here's the final word on nutrition and health.
It's a relief to know the truth
    after all those conflicting
    nutritional studies.

    1. The Japanese eat very little fat
and suffer fewer heart attacks than
    Americans.

    2. The Mexicans eat a lot of fat
and suffer fewer heart attacks than Americans.

    3. The Chinese drink very little red wine
and suffer fewer heart attacks than Americans.

    4. The Italians drink a lot of red wine
and suffer fewer heart attacks than Americans.

    5. The Germans drink a lot of beers and eat lots of sausages and fats
and suffer fewer heart attacks than Americans.

    CONCLUSION

Eat and drink what you like.
Speaking English is apparently what kills you.

  3. All you gotta do is look at two people:

Jim Fixx pioneered the jogging craze in America when he wrote "The Complete Book of Running." A physician, Fixx endorsed regular, rigorous exercise and a healthy diet, practicing what he preached. He died of a massive heart attack at the age of 52.

George Burns, an actor and comedian, smoked religiously, drank, and caroused with women young enough to be his great-granddaughter. He habitually stayed up 'til all hours of the night and was never known to exercise or eat a healthy diet. He lived to the age of 100.

    Any questions?

  4. Think I'll follow George's lifestyle... sounds like more fun.

  5. To top it off Jim Fixx had a heart attack while jogging

  6. Jim Fixx had a cardiovascular problem that predated his smoking. He had quit cigarettes for almost 20 years when he was felled by his heart attack. One could make the case that it was his quitting and his excercise that kept him alive as long as lived.EATING a modern American diet of prepackaged, processed, dead food filled with preservatives and hydrogenated fats
AND sugars(the open secret)that are often found to be the #2 main ingredient in store-bought packaged and canned/frozen foods(don't believe me?Read the per serving grams# under 'Sugars',and the ingredients list.)That said,I laughed at the pasta diet jokes,MerD!! :) I also have a few more of my own! "I'm on a seafood diet!" "Really?" "Yeah!...When I see food,I eat it!" AND, "I'm a real light eater!" "Oh yeah?" "Yeah!...As soon as it get's light,I start eating!" (GROAN!!)

  8. My doc told me last week "no more caffeine" I AM DYING HERE!!!!!!!!!!! If you have ever tried to stop coffee, you will know that the headaches are awful!!

Posted 4 years ago by MerD #

  9. MerD...That's hilarious!!!LOL!!! Oh My...I don't mean the headaches..I mean the pasta diet.... and yes..I do know how painful caffeine withdrawal headaches can be.Poor baby..I don't know what I'd do without my coffee!! Yikes!!!!

  10. I chose to forego caffeine after my exractions 12 days ago,as caffeine can irritate and damage my gumwork.I not only had to deal with the dental pain via Tylenol/Oxycodone(which thankfully I only needed for 5 days!)but also caffeine withdrawal headaches on top of it!! :( I switched to green-tea and finally to decaf green-tea(w/milk,honey).I don't have the caffeine headaches anymore, but occaisionally get restless cravings that I manage to quell with a mug of hot-cocoa(which has half to a third the caffeine of regular coffee) :)

  11. I love the "Pasta Diet" and concerned about carbs!! It seems like every time you turn around, there is something else that is going to do you in! Enjoy what you like!

  12. Hey Tig, you should try the Good Eats Hot Cocoa. I made up a big batch of it and it's amazingly good.

  13. If you want to really be shocked, start reading labels and look at just how much sodium is in processed and packaged foods. Yikes!!!!

Posted 4 years ago by WillowandWindismom #

  14. You are right, processed foods are so high in sodium! I try not to eat them very often. I cook(make my own dishes) at home most of the time. I learned so much from my Mom and Grandmother, how to cook.

  15. Again..MerD..Love the pasta diet..I wonder how many calories we burn by laughing out loud! I guess if it were any at all I wouldn't be the tad overweight that I am... *I can wish*

  16. I visited my doctor last month, and he said I was "built for famine."

After that comment, I am back on my favorite diet: "If It Tastes Good, Spit It Out."

Any suggestions? Aside from wiring my dear little jaws shut?

  17. REPORTED TO KITTEN MASTER.

Just ignore the bad guys. If we do not take the bait they will get tired and go phishing elsewhere and eventually leave TDK alone.
