  2. ooh your kitten is soo cute !! what's your babie's name? i don't see any reason why your kitty shouldn't drink out of the dogs water dish !! it's just fine !! welcome to TDK there are awesome people here and they become like family !! i love them all !! tell us all about your new baby !!

  3. As long as the dogs have had their shots and will allow the kitten to use their bowl without trying to hurt the kitten, it should be fine. Welcome to TDK!! Is that your new kitty in your avatar??

  4. Oh, your kitten is precious! I want to snuggle it! He is so tiny. Growing up our kitties drank out of the same water bowl as the dogs and no one got sick. They all lived to be at least 20 years old. Please keep us updated on your baby, we love KITTENS here! You will find a lot of wonderful, intelligent cat people! WELCOME to our family!

  8. CRICKETSMAMA...Thank You for your reply. We have only had our kitty for 8 days now and he is the most spoiled kitty I have ever had. Mostly because of my husband. He was never really a big cat fan but this one OH MY. I have a funny story...The first couple of nights I had to sleep on the couch with the kitty until I knew my dog wouldnt hurt him. So my husband slept in our bedroom with the dog and kept the door shut. Well on the 4th morning my husband comes out of the bedroom and come to the living room, says to me I miss you these last couple of nights then leans over (I think he is going to give me a kiss) no....he kisses the kitten. So needless to say he is getting lots of smooches. LOL
    I like your avatar...cute kitty

  12. Hi BM / Julie, welcome to TDK Chat! Little Bruin is sooooo cute!

I find that cats will drink from anywhere except the waterbowl you lovingly put down for them...a running tap, the toilet (yes! ew!), a grubby plant pot outside...many cats don't like to drink from near where their food is, so try putting another bowl of water for him somewhere else )we have one in the bathroom for our lot). Look forward to chatting with you and hearing more about Bruin :o)

  13. Hi Julie, baby Bruin is just ADORABLE, your hubby sounds like a pushover for that little cutie, LOL. My husband is the same, we have two kitties Tux and Ginger (her baby picture is my avatar), they turned him into a cat lover ;o) gotta love a guy who loves the kitties.

My cats always preferred the dog's bowl when they were little, unfortunately our dog Sheba is no longer with us but we still keep her water bowls out for the kitties to drink out of anyway. Welcome to TDK, this is a great group of folks.

  14. ANNIE....Thank you for the compliment on my kitty. Your kitty is very adorable too. Sorry to hear about Sheba. I dont know how much longer I have with my doggie either. He is 13 years old and starting to show his age. I am hoping for alot more time with him. I adopted him when he was 8 weeks old. Its going to kill me to lose him. Enjoy your kitty and have a good night.

  22. ABBIGALEVIOLET AND KATHTHAYS...It is so nice to see so many people welcome Bruin and me to the site. I look forward to getting to know everyone here better. You both have beautiful cats. KATTHAYS...you kitty touches close to home...my Aunt had a black and white domestic long hair male....he was beautiful. I use to take care of him every weekend while they went camping...His name was Gizmo (Gizzy is what we called him for short). He was about 16years old and about 1 month ago he was taken to the vet due to old age and not eating. He was dehydrated, they were going to keep him overnight to pump fluids into him and for observation. Not soon after he was dropped off at the animal hospital...my Aunt recd a call that he went into cardia arrest and passed on. It was so heart breaking. I still miss him and every weekend I feel lost because as soon as I would wake up I would go over to the house let him out (he was an indoor/outdoor) cat and I would feed him water him and brush him....he loved to be brushed. My Aunt is still so heartbroken too...and she is the one who gave my my kitty so I made her Bruins GODMOTHER...LOL. It is nice to see the name Gizmo, it keeps the memory that much more special. Enjoy.

  25. Does Bruin have a catster page??

    Posted 8 months ago by 2bpurring #

  26. Bruin is certainly a cutie!!! Welcome to TDK. We hope that we are a friendly bunch. I have a herd of 5. Rumpleteaser my charcoal gray beauty, Deuter Bug my tuxedoed baby, Lissy my cranky wire-haired dachshund, Kasey (really my hubby's) border collie/Australian shepard mix, and as of late my 14 week old Basset Hound puppy Sherlock. Deuter and Sherlock are into interior decorating. Actually Sherlock is in training--Deuter Bug is a master! Don't forget to drop into the Cafe and the Night Shift. Pull up a chair and share your day!

  27. 2BPURRING...i dont know how to get a catster page or how to submit a photo to the kittenmaster. I am not very computer smart. Im lucky I found this site. LOL

SOXSMOM....I will have to look around the site to find the cafe and the night shift. If I can find it I will definatley share my day...since they are so filled right now with Bruin and my dog Meeko. The are funny to watch. Your days must be fun too with a herd of 5

Posted 8 months ago by BRUINS MOM #

  28. To submit to Kittenmaster you need to go back to the main site where the kitten of the day is posted. The submit information is on the right hand side at the top. Bruin would be a wonderful kitteh for KM!! If you go to Caster.com you can easily set up a caster page. I started one for Basil my Russian Blue when he died. He contracted feline leukemia from Sox--the most amazing kitten I have ever met! I figure if I can do it--anyone can!

Posted 8 months ago by SoxsMom #

  29. LOL, SM!! But Julie, she is right - on Catster it's pretty easy to set up a page, they have good online instructions.

Posted 8 months ago by Annie R #

  30. If you click on the picture to your left it will take you to my catster page from there set up your own account or just go to www.catster.com
