who's going to watch jon and kate

  1. Oh I forgot I watched Housewives of Atlanta for a little bit. They were so pathetically in to themselves and their displays of wealth. It was just so pathetic. I watched maybe 3-4 shows and their follow-up meetup show. I also watched some show called Millionaire Match Maker. Boy were those men pathetic too. I also watched maybe 2-3 shows before being disgusted with the men.

  2. Jon and Kate??? *gets out axe* I have never watched it but the previews are enough. I think that Kate must be one of Octomom's role models.

*blush* I am a What Not to Wear junkie, although I don't watch it unless I'm upstairs sewing.

  3. Not a fan AT ALL, and can't stand to see them plastered all over the magazines standing in line at the grocery store!...... puts "blinders" on to go to store.....

  5. I'm sure whatever their "big announcement" might be, it will be all over the net and other media tomorrow....I just had a great vision though...wouldn't it be great "reality TV" for the Department of Family & Child Svcs (or whatever they call it where Jon and Kate live) to get in the picture and bust them both for exploiting all the kids. They could come in and do a raid, ala "COPS" Jon and Kate are no better than Octomom!

  6. I saw a few of the first year that they were on and loved watching the kids. It isn't about the kids anymore. It is about him hanging in a bar and her strutting her new body on the beach. I am sure when the show first was presented to them, it looked like the perfect solution for how to raise a family that large. They needed an income! Now that the money is in the bank and they are getting things the idea if the show is gone. She wants plastic surgery and hobknobing with the rich and famous. He is materialistic as well. For them they sacrificed their 8 children and are in the money now. I hope they save enough for those kids when they need massive therapy! I haven't watched the last season or this season--I can't stand what is happening with the kids. Those are darling children and they deserve a loving family--not to be exploited so their dad can buy an apartment in Trump Towers, or the mom can afford more plastic surgery and travel (without her kids!).

  7. MSNBC is reporting now that Jon and Kate filed for divorce today.

  8. I think they are being investigated. Wouldn't that be a hoot! Now THAT I would watch. Those poor kids, I can't help but think of them. They are so adorable and when I saw Kate smacking her on the front of a magazine today in Target I shuddered. Kate had a very mean look on her face. Not a face a child should have to see. I thought of another one, boy Beth, look what you started. I like "Mystery Diagnosis" on TLC. Not sure if that is "reality" in the same sense but it has real people re-playing their mystery diagnosis.

  11. Wonder how they're going to work out custody. Split the kids between them? Have one parent trying to raise 8 kids? Hire somebody else to do it?

  12. I have to admit, we watched them in the beginning but when they got trips all the time and all the perks...we stopped...I can't stand Kate, she's a royal b--ch and it stopped being about raising 8 kids and it was about the fame...sad..those poor kids. I like Jon..he needs to grow some balls though.

  13. Speaking of Octomom, did they let her keep custody of those children? The last I heard, child protective services was investigating the home environment to determine if the newborns would be allowed to go to it, and the home was in foreclosure.

  16. I watched an episode of American Chopper where they were building a bike for Jon. I really thought that guy seemed sort of arrogant and a bit more concerned about himself than his family. There was supposed to be an episode where the guys from American Chopper spent the entire day with Jon and Kate, but I had no interest in watching it.

  17. I grew up the oldest of 8 kids, my folks did it the old fashioned way, one at a time! Been there, done that...but thank God my parents had some sense!!

  18. My Grandfather was the youngest of 13--they all ended up normal. They were raised on a farm with next to nothing and yet they always had parents and a sense of family. Money may be great--but does it take the place of a family.

  19. SM, totally agree. Seems like TV and fame seems to ruin (or at least diminish) whatever it touches, although it usually has help from willing patsies like J&K.

  20. I used to watch it when it first came out. The kids were really cute and the show was mostly about them. But I got really uncomfortable watching Kate and Jon together, because she reminded me of my ex-sister-in-law. My EX-SIL never could say one nice thing about my brother, and was always putting him down in front of everyone. She was a truly miserable, evil woman. They were married 5 years, and my brother once said that they never had one completely happy day during their marriage. I thought that was really sad. They had two children, who she worked on tirelessly to turn them against their father. It took her about 6 years to do it, but unfortunately she succeeded. His children won't have anything to do with him (but he sure better not miss any payments, of course!) I predict the same thing wil happen with these poor kids. I won't watch this show anymore.

  22. ***Shout Yeah Cheri*** How true. I bet it was written in last year right after they renewed their vows...rating low, break up the couple.

Like we didn't know those two would be heading for divorce the first show I saw...No man puts up with that treatment for long without doing something about it...eight kids or not
