  1. Good Morning, Good Afternoon, Good Evening to all our friends in TDK land! Hope everyone who stops by is well. It is a hot and humid morning here. We will turn on the a/c in the cafe today. Tables are set in a summery pattern with fresh flowers on all the tables. Kittehs are waking up and stretching. Looking anxiously for some hoomins to love. They have a full buffet up today with plenty of foods to meet your every need. Waffles, pancakes, cinnamon rolls, bagels, muffins, cheesey eggs, hashbrowns, bacon and sausages. Coffee, Tea, Juices and Milk. Please say hi, grab a bite to eat, or stay a while. I am off to day 3 of work and let me tell you-work is overrated! :) Have a great day/evening!

  2. Good morning MC, you sure know how to tempt a girl with that buffet of wonderful food. I'll have a cinnamon roll and a hot milk please. Unfortunately I'll have to eat & run. I have to get up very early in the morning and need to get to bed now. Have a wonderful 3rd day at work MC.

  3. Good morning MC!..... I just closed the nightshift, looks like I missed our friends down under..... I'm a little late rising today.... didn't sleep too well, my back had a crick in it all day yesturday.....no fun!......

..... last night I tried to put the heating pad on it, and when I got up to go to the bathroom, Abby decided it was her turn, and she never would let me have it back :(

  4. Eek, I've just missed MS by 34 seconds...

Have a great day, Mollycat -- well, as much as you are able to at work ;-)

  5. MS! you sneaked in while I was typing!..... you're a better NS closer than me anyhow!... Hi Jcat!

Posted 2 years ago by AV #

  6. Morning, AV, sorry to hear about your back, back pain sucks bigtime!

Abby, how could you? Jasper does the same thing with hot water bottles -- sits on top of it and makes it clear it's his now. He's too heavy to push off it, lol.

  7. Tee hee still here, just.
Would have been here quicker but Wordpress keeps telling me to slow down! the cheek of it.

  8. Hi, AV, are you settling back into ordinary life now that lovely holiday's over?

I meant to say, I'm so sorry your son can't keep his cats. I hope he can find someone lovely to foster them for a year!

Posted 2 years ago by jcat #

  9. LOL.... she's a real "heating pad hog"......I try to gently move her, and she complains loudly and won't budge - digs her claws in and holds on for dear life.....I'm afraid if I try too hard to move her, she'll damage the heating pad!........ I just have to wait until she's gotten her fill of it.... sadly for me, sometimes that's all evening !

Posted 2 years ago by AV #

  10. I know, it does that to me too and really, no one could be slower than I am!

MS, I was hoping to be able to tell you I'd won the big Lotto prize tonight -- 35 million! The winning ticket was bought in the small town I do my shopping in. Unfortunately, though I've often been to the post office the winning ticket came from, I've never bought a Lotto ticket there.... sob!

  11. AV, you need two heating pads, that's all. If not more! If Abby won't share, then you need your very own...

  12. "Life" as we know it is always difficult after vaca, but particularly this time since now we're in the "packing" mode getting ready to take Daughter off to college (Saturday).... Hubbs is in a deep funk about it, and Son is still in his funk because he has to find new homes for his kitties...... my roommate from college lives in Gainesville, and her husband is the pastor of the Methodist church up there. I put the word out through her, and she says she will check around with people in her congregation to see if anyone would be willing to foster them. She says she knows some nice people who are cat lovers, so hopefully the "right" person will be found soon.

... how was your night? Ringo bring anymore roadkill home?? LOL

Posted 2 years ago by AV #

  13. I was going to ask if it was you. I don't envy the winners one bit, it's way too much money.
Good night ladies, hopefully my 'Organic hot water bottle' will join me in bed for the night but it's asleep in the basket by the fire at the moment.

  14. Yes, MS, have you heard from KK, how did the presentation go today and, more importantly, did she get our doughnuts and what has Ringo brought home lately?

I had two lovely friends come over from Wellington and the Wairarapa turned on a (frosty but) lovely sunny day for them! We laughed and chatted all day, it was great and the time to take them back to the railway station came all too soon...

Posted 2 years ago by jcat #

  15. LOL....*organic hotwater bottle*......
...apparently mine had to use the heating pad last night to "recharge".... wonders if I keep the AC too cold!.... probably, Hubbs and Daughter are always complaining!....

Posted 2 years ago by AV #

  16. MS, yes, it's a lot, but think of the good you could do with that money. There are so many 'pet projects' you could lend a helping hand to, I can think of acres of things I'd like to get stuck into!

And a bit to blow in the very nice shops I go window-shopping in wouldn't go amiss either! Besides, we could have done our big TDK trip!

Awwww, organic hot water bottle. Money can't keep you warm at night, as they say, but cats and heating pads can. Nighty-night, MS, I'll think of you at 5.30am tomorrow, scraping the frost off the car... Sweet dreams...

  17. I did hear from KK, from what I can gather both presentations went well, she is exhausted tonight and was heading to bed very early. Haven't heard about anything Ringo may have dragged in lately. KK has been so busy we've barely even txtd. There's no way she would forget the donuts, they're what keep her sane after a visit to the northern metropolis.
I'm glad you had a great day Jcat, I bet there was loads of laughter.
    Night all.

  18. Sleep well and snuggled up, MS, see you tomorrow!

Posted 2 years ago by jcat #

  19. .....sounds like a nice day with your girlfriends Jcat..... we all need that now and then...... it's been a while since my "gang" got together..... maybe I'll call a couple of them and see if they can play golf this Thurs...... we always have so much fun laughing with/at each other on the course!

Posted 2 years ago by AV #

  20. ...sweet dreams MS....more white lights to KK....

Posted 2 years ago by AV #

  21. Good morning everyone, MC thanks for setting up a scrumptious spread ;o) Just got back from my morning walk, I have to log in and get to work here shortly but wanted to say "howdy" to all of my new TDK friends. Hope you all have a wonderful day or evening depending on your part of the world! Be back later ;o)

Posted 2 years ago by Annie R #

  22. Hi, Annie, have a wonderful day! I am off to bed soon so it seems funny to hear of you going for a walk (but very nice...)

Posted 2 years ago by jcat #

  23. Good morning to the morning side of the world and good afternoon or evening to the other. Something light & cool for breakfast today. We're getting high temps and high heat indexes right now. It's been storming a lot, too.

Posted 2 years ago by LadyKat of IA #

  24. Ooh, good morning LK, I would give anything to be toasty warm right now. Think maybe my bed is calling... but I'm not sleepy, just cold, lol.

Posted 2 years ago by jcat #

  25. Be careful what you wish for Jcat! Summer in Atlanta is stifling, highs in the 90's and humidity percentages are in the 90's too...that's why I like to walk first thing in the morning before it gets too hot. Hope you have a good, warm and snuggly sleep - sweet dreams!

Posted 2 years ago by Annie R #

  26. You're right, Annie, I'm not sure I could cope with that humidity... Thank you, nighty-night/hope you have a great day too!

    Have a lovely day, everyone!

  27. Hi everyone! (waves) I had to stay home yesterday close to my own baffroom :-( but I'm better today. HOTTERNHELL here...in the 90's. May set a record.... I'm glad I work in an air-conditioned office!

Our laptop at home is on the fritz, my husband was using it and the dang thing froze up. It's getting fixed now... but gee, you don't realize how much you rely on it until it's not there. He was incredibly GRUMPY when he couldn't check his email (lol) so I went back upstairs to the air-conditioned bedroom and took a nap... leaving him to his Grump. (lol)

Posted 2 years ago by Siobhan #

  28. ...waves to Sio and AnnieR.... Night Jcat!....
.....No fun with the frozen computer!....makes me grumpy too when I can't check my "stuff"..... I was having "withdrawals" last week down in the Dominican, we had to "wait" for a turn in their internet cafe, and then could only be on for short periods......

hot down here today! 90+ with 2000% humidity.... it was raining this morning, but has stopped now..... all that does is bring the "steam" out of the streets.... I walked outside to get my paper and got an "instant facial".... LOL

  29. Morning and Evening Everyone!
AV, being in a humid climate is great for the skin :)) Your poor hubbs on his funk of losing his daughter.....I know I had a terrible time with the empty nest thing....now, when anyone comes home, it seems almost chaotic and I say, hmmmm, wonder when they are leaving! LOL! But I love having them and anyone they might choose to bring along.
Looks to be another beautiful HOT steamy day in WI!
Hope everyone has a nice day :))

  30. Hi everyone! Just checking in - if I can get thru this work week and deadlines associated with it, and then thru June 30 with those deadlines, I'm going to be ok! Till then I'm a lunatic, working till all hours. Sure the kids are gone so it's quiet, but this is when the business office kicks into high gear. If I don't get back - I hope everyone has a great day. I have endless cyber hugs to all who are in need {{{TDKr's}}}
Oh! Leela tracked a BIG spider last night for me. She kept track of it till I was able to trap it and escort it outside. Usually she just bats them till they don't move anymore but this one was a bit big for her!
