  1. Not sure if this has been posted before.

Wow, I would have never imagined this. Glad the dog was rescued and ok. I feel sorry for the owners (they weren't home) at such an expense but fortunately they had observant neighbors.

  2. Wow, that is a freak accident but makes you think twice about using glass bowls..Also, very glad neighbors were paying attention and the dog was rescued.

  3. Wow!!!! No Glass Bowls!!! What a horribly expensive lesson. Thank God for the neighbors.

  4. I would never have even thought of that as a possibility! I learn something valuable here every day!

  5. Now that's what I call a freak accident. Probably next to impossible to duplicate too. You would need the "magic" combination of the precise bowl curve, the exact amount of water, the exact angle of the sun, time of day, etc to focus the suns rays narrow enough to create the heat necessary to start a fire.

Although I'm not a physics expert my any means, I think the chances of it happening again are fairly slim at best, in my humble opinion of course! :)

Might be something for the "Myth Busters" to try. LOL

  7. Lets all send email to Mythbusters and see if they will do an episode on it. You know a little blaze will not satisfy them. They will make something explode..:-)
