Hey guys,
They just told me this afternoon that I was approved for the apartment. I finish up the paperwork tomorrow and then turn over the money for 1st/last and cat deposit. YIKES! If I sign a year lease I get 1st month free. I am pretty sure we will be able to afford it and the utilities and be okay. Tight budget, but okay. :)
I am not sure what we will need just yet, my packing was the best job I have ever done, so unpacking and figuring out what the place needs might take a bit. I have an old buddy here that has a truck and trailer, and he will help me get things from storage and move in. Haven't seen him or talked to him in a LONG time, but he said that he will help me anyway he can.
Seriously you guys don't need to help us out anymore than you already have. I will be repaying your kindness for years to come. I have already paid it forward as I can already. I helped a couple out that was having some minor car issues on the way here. It was really hot and the car had overheated, they spent the last of their money on getting the car towed to the truck stop. I paid for their dinner and wished them well. Thought it was the best way tpo start paying things forward. Have been going through my sisters house cleaning and making bags for the Good Will here, so far I think I have gotten 12 or more bags donated. Goodness knows my sister doesn't need it and maybe someone else out there does. I will keep working on her house as I can and donate what she no longer wants and doesn't need. LOL!
I need to end for now, tomorrow is court with the boys father about child support. Luckily I was able to do it telephonically. I will let you know how it goes. It starts 9 am Florida time, so that is 7 am my time.

DM, good for you. You have come sooo far in such a short time.

Congratulations, Julie!! You are a formidable woman! When you get settled and figure out what you need, please register at Target or Fred Meyer or some such department store so we can fill in some of the spaces. Don't forget things for the boys' rooms. Please don't deny us the pleasure of being part of your success. That is your gift to us and what families do. :)
