  1. The people in the next court who are actually playing there never seemed to appreciate having a wayward ball come flying into their court. I have learned the most interesting words that way.

Kilroy, we used to love to go up to Stowe in the summer. It was great for skiing, but we liked it equally as well in the summer. Vermont is so beautiful. Too bad it's inhabited by all of those rather strange people!

  2. How bout I come too Kilroy as Georgie's nanny!

  3. Never been to Vermont. What strange people are in VT, WWM? I have been to Massachusetts in the beginning of October when the leaves were starting to turn. The humidity was gone and it was the kind of weather I like...70's during the day and 40's at night.

  6. ...... LOL.... I have the same problem with my golf game.... I seem to want to play from the next fairway over :(

..... Kilroy, have a fabulous time in VT.... I just love the mountains, and yes, summers are beautiful when it's around 70 degrees and the humidity is low..... similar to NC I imagine!......why George is probably already packing!.... I'm glad you're taking his sleeping box... that will really help him get acclimated!

  7. Hey I am back.... what did I miss?? Gallo is all over me! but only because I am near the window and he is salking a fly...shhhhhhhhhhh don't tell PETA

  8. Go Gallo!

SMM, Vermonters have a reputation for being earthy-crunchy hippie types.

Posted 2 years ago by Kilroy #

  9. And tree-huggers and insect protectors..... you could say that Vermont is liberal but that would be an understatement. They need their very own adjective!

  10. But WWM, they gave us Ben & Jerry's ice cream...how can they be bad? :)

  17. Hi everyone!

Good luck MC! Please let us know what they say.

About panting cats - the young cat downstairs who sometimes comes and checks out our flat, pants when he's really into a game. That really freaked me out, grabbed him and ran back to his Dad in case he had a problem. But apparently it's normal for him, I think some cats just pant :). Hope dear Tansy is ok and just a bitty too hot.

How is everyone? Could use a bunch of cuddly kitties please, if there are any needing tickles and a lap to sleep on!

  18. It's nice that you have a downstairs kitty who comes to visit, Metsa.

  19. My test didnt go as well as I would have liked but I still think I did ok. I have another test Monday, a quiz Wednesday, a test Thursday and 2 tests the Thursday after that...eek I'm so tested out.

Posted 2 years ago by gini #

  20. Finals kind of suck, Gini. I'll bet that you are tested out.

MC, I just wish that they had called you earlier. Do they mean that you should go now?

Posted 2 years ago by WillowandWindismom #

  21. Wow Gini, heaps of tests! I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.

Kilroy, yes it is nice :D. There is also a kitty on the first floor who comes up too, an older lady cat. The young cat from down stairs looks exactly like Dewey. He has a huge floofy tail, and he flicks it as he walks. He's lovely :).

  22. They want xrays and a CAT scan. Of course my insurance has to approve it. They are going to try to get it pushed thru as an "emergency" but you know how insurance is............

  23. Hello peeps, just popping in for a quick hello - had an unscheduled visit to the vets tonight with Button who's done something to her eye - I noticed it at 7 minutes to their closing time, can you get here quickly they said, and we were there in 5 minutes - so glad we live that close! They've given her a painkilling shot plus an antibiotic one, we have eye drops starting tomorrow (that'll be fun) and a follow up appointment Saturday. Bearing in mind I'm there tomorrow with Mum and Bones, that's three consecutive days at the vets!!! And the agreement I signed for the courtesy car while mine's in the garage specifically says no transporting of pets...oops!!

Cats in hot weather tip if Siobhan's still around or reads this later - freeze a plastic bottle 3/4 full of water overnight, then wrap it in a towel and leave it somewhere shade where Tansey will find it and can settle against it - kind of a radiator in reverse!

  24. *sending positive vibes to MC that her insurance doesn't decide to be stupid*

Posted 2 years ago by Kilroy #

  25. {{{{{Button}}}}}} Maybe they could give you a "Frequent Patient" discount, MCW! We always say that the new wing of our vet clinic should really be named after us.

  26. Well I think I should have my own car parking space!!! Poor little thing, she was so good and is still very purry, but the side of her head is very swollen.

Posted 2 years ago by MadcatwomanintheUK #

  27. Aw, Button, it is not a good day to be a kitty! First Tansey panting and now your poor eye! Hang in there! Hugs, purrs and headbonks coming Button's way!

    Posted 2 years ago by mollycat71 #

  28. Poor Button :( {{{Button}}}

Posted 2 years ago by Kilroy #

  29. Poor Button! I've given Bobby eye drops on several occasions and he does just fine - but then again, he's fine with everything!

MC, hope your insurance cooperates and you can get yourself checked out!

Posted 2 years ago by GreatDane #

  30. Hugs duly passed on and appreciated!

I'm heading for bed now, good night, chat tomorrow!

Good luck with the insurance MC, don't stand for any nonsense!
