Michael Jackson has Died

  1. HM, why were you married @ 17? Have you a young adult daughter or son? I was almost 6 when Elvis died; I didn't see what the big deal was because I wasn't familiar with his music at the time. Now his ex-son-in-law is at NeverGraceland along with him.

  2. No nothing like that. I got married at 16 because I was a mental adult and I wanted to get out of the house.

  3. Makes sense.

  4. I divorced at 20. My parents and I really got close after that. I was always close to my mom, but not so close with my dad. There is no definition for the strictness we had to endure - lol.

A lot of good came out of it, so I'm glad it all happened the way it did.

  5. A spokesperson for LA's Robbery/Homicide Unit just said that his unit was assigned to do the death investigation on the case because Jackson was such a high profile person. He said not to read anything more than that into it. He wouldn't answer any more questions and said the coroner would make the next public statement about time and cause of death when they finished with the autopsy.

I hope Michael has finally found peace. He led a very sad, lonely life. Money cannot buy happiness.

  6. I didn't even know he HAD kids....and I was a fan in the "Beat it" days. Long ago now, of course.

  7. Yeah, Arcalian, he left behind three children: his 12-year-old son Michael, Jr., his 11-year-old daughter Paris, and his 6-year-old son Prince Michael.

  8. I work in stagecraft and I was part of the set up crew for his rehearsals at Staples Center in L.A.
He had planned three weeks of rehearsals prior to shipping the show to London.
It was an enormous set up ... Now it won't be used.

  9. RIP Michael. What an amazing talent you were. I grew up with you and you share your birthday with my sister as she was born two years after you on the same day.

I read that a statement was read out by Michael's brother Jermaine. So sad..so sad!

  11. And don't forget David Carradine before Ed McMahon...

  12. Dee, David Carradine's death was also pretty strange; not going into any details, but he was into some kinky "stuff" when he died.

  15. Now Michael is free from pain and dancing in heaven with Gene Kelly, Fred Astarie, Roy Bolger and Mr Bojangles. He'll certainly be missed here on earth!

  22. Lovers of BritComs will be saddened to learn of the death of Mollie Sugden, who played the inimitable Mrs. Slocombe (she of the pastel or neon hair color of the week) in "Are You Being Served?" She joins Wendy Richard (Miss Brahms, who also died this year) in that great Grace Bros. in the sky.

  23. THAT broke my heart! I LOVED "Are You Being Served?" even though I didn't get half of the British pop culture references. The slapstick made it universal.
