  1. Just came back inside from playing outdoors. Yesterday hit 92 and humid..today is 82ish and not too bad. I got Maddie in her bathing suit and she ran through the hose, we played hide and seek, fed the birds some crackers, played with her sand and water table...it was fun. Came back in for lunch and almost time for her nap. Then Abbie should be waking here anytime. We get to go to my niece's 38th, and my great-niece's 2nd birthday tomorrow. That will be fun, especially for Maddie.
Hope everyone is having a great day.

  2. Man, we're supposed to get out at 11:30, it's after 12, and the worst part is I'm waiting on others for info to get my job done, ack! Sigh, at least it's not a sunny day!
Ok, I'm finished griping. *picks up an agency kitten who happily takes advantage of Joan's "in-limbo" time*
As soon as I get my info I'm jumping all over it to get out asap. Hope you all have a great weekend!

AV thanks too for posting that recipe, I'm going to print it off and give it a try! Can't wait to taste it. Hi CM, your day sounds like more fun than mine, have a great time at the birthday party tomorrow. We have a birthday party tomorrow for the little girl across the street, I love kid birthdays....my own, not so much, LOL. Everybody have a great afternoon!

  6. Hi all, just got home. Worked, then went to have a new computer put in my car. I had an appt but the place was packed so I had to wait. There is something about car dealerships that I just don't like! LOL Anyways the computer was under warranty so I didn't have to pay a penny. YAY! Kilroy, the Neurosurgeon still hasn't heard from my insurance that they get the go ahead to do the testing. Something tells me they are going to drag their feet long enough and then July 1 I have new insurance. So, nothing. My head is a little better today and I am going to medicate myself quite a bit since it is the weekend and if I sleep until noon tomorrow so be it. I want to see if being able to take all the pain meds I COULD, if it will get rid of it! I sure hope so! :D

  7. MC - yay on the car, boo on the insurance ! It's just WRONG WRONG WRONG that insurance companies dictate what care you get. Hope you feel better soon !!

Posted 8 months ago by 2 Popoki #

  8. Just be careful with those meds, OK MC?? I know, I know, you're a big girl and know that, but still...

Posted 8 months ago by Kilroy #

  9. I agree..insurance companies shouldn't dictate like this. If a person is in pain, they need to get the medical attention they say. What if you were someone who has cancer, and they hold up your chemo treatment because of $$ and you find out that your cancer is now untreatable thanks to the wait. So the family has to not only have the horrible experience of the person passing from cancer when it could have been treatable but they have to go and sue the insurance company for the delays. I believe some cases have been won and some lost against the insurance companies. Grrrr! I actually was offered a job at a large insurance company and turned it down. I also gave up on applying for jobs at HMO's too.

MC, I hope you are able to get some relief. Joan, hope your work comes asap so you can get the "Heck out of Dodge".

My manager is out all next week traveling to our distribution house. Well, she made sure that I had things to work on. I still plan on leaving around 2pm on Thursday since we have the holiday weekend.

A nice four cheese omelett with a side of extra crispy bacon would be nice and a glass of mimosa since it is Friday. TGIF!!!! This week felt long and rough.

  10. *Slides an omelette, bacon and mimosa down the bar to SMM* I'll take a Mimosa, too! Sounds good. It has been a long week.

Trainer warned me after my session last night that I'd be sore today, and more sore tomorrow. Hmmm... so far, not so bad ! Perhaps I have spoken too soon. lol

  11. Good afternoon, all!
One of the ladies at work has a birthday today so we had carrot cake birthday cake when I got in. My favorite! So not needing any food from the cafe.
What I could use is a nap! I was so upset and shocked after OB told me about his wife last night, I barely got any sleep :(
Now I'm going to have to fit their daughter in with work at the gym as well as the new job - if I manage to figure out what to do and stay there!

I got my mail from XBF today and I finally received the redi set go cooker I ordered. I'm very excited to check it out and try it out!

  18. We had ice cream after lunch today at work...Turtle Sundae, no sugar added...which tasted mighty good!

  19. Thanks for the breakfast, 2P! I just ate my lunch and it was very disappointing. I bought beef stew from the deli at the grocery store and it only had two very small pieces of meat and a lot of veggies. I wanted the meat!! Growl. I am still feeling very hungry (no time for lunch yesterday and my body is out of whack at the moment).

Also got a call back from the property manager at the Apt #3 and it turns out they cannot rent it to me as they put in brand new carpet and the owner doesn't want anyone with pets to rent the unit now. He says there is another unit moving out today but that one has it so the bedroom faces the very noisy and busy street (no thanks). The units in the back of the complex go for $1325 a month and I am sure they don't go vacant too often. I will call the guy to mention that I would only be interested in a back unit at this point. So at this point it is keep looking or decide to go with Apt #1 or #2 that I saw yesterday. I think I may need to keep looking since Apt #1 wants $1400 deposit (cat and security deposit) which is way too much for me at this time.

  20. Oh no, Karin - that's too bad! I hope you can find something better out there!
If things work out with my new job, I'm hoping to move, too!
