   Last night Old Boss brought my mail over and I got the cutest little stone from DM! I was so excited!
   This morning I went to meet some guys XBF shares an office space with. I brought the stone with me for luck - and I got a job!!!!

   They offered me full or part-time ad I decided to try the part time first to see if I like it before I quit the gym. There was a lot of talking really fast and I'm sure I missed a few things, but basically, it's a small company that makes shows airling on different networks. I'll be calling businesses and trying to get them/their product involved. I'll have no clue what I'm doing, but I figure it's worth a shot. They have two other girls doing the same and they seem to like it. I'll be paid the same hourly wage to start as I'm getting at the gym, but I'll get paid as well on every appointment I bok for them that pans out.
   I start on Monday!

   *runs out he door to walk dog and go to work*

   Yay GD! Great news! Hope it works out well enough that you can quit that crazy gym. Now, here's what you do; next time you know Gym Guy is going to be around, tuck DM's stone in your pocket - it's sure to give you luck!

   MM I have my TDK stone and it has brought me good luck. DM is not in a position to make them at the moment and her intent was for us to share the stones. I will gladly send my stone onto you MM in hopes that you and Melvin get some needed luck..

    GD - I hope the new job works out for you. We'll miss the soap-opera stories from the gym - but will feel much better about you not working there any more!

    Oh -that's your in with GG ! Tell him, when the time is right, that you won't be working there any longer. He'll have to poop or get off the pot (as my Dad would say, only more crudely) and ask you out or .... miss the opportunity of a life time. :)

    Thanks, everybody! Sorry to have posted and run!

    I'm a bit worried XBF may have exaggerated my abilities a bit - they sounded way too excited about having me on board. Mostly all I did was nod my head and say yes.
    It does sound really interesting and once I figure out what exactly it is that they do (!) and how to go about it, I hope I'll enjoy it. The bosses both told me there is a great chance for advancing to production assistant and making more money.
    It's a bit of a drive (30-35 minutes) but it's in a nice area with tons of shops and restaurants, and the office itself is really nice, too.

    I keep reminding myself that when I started working for OB, I didn't have a clue, either, and I was able to learn everything, so hopefully I can do that here, as well.

    I have the stone with me - which is a good thing, because I'm fairly sure GG is coming in tonight to work out!

    Wonderful news GD. I have no doubt that you will be a quick learner and make the best of it, and be an asset to them.
    Be sure to take DM's stone to work daily ( and of course we'll add some TDK white light for good measure)....may not be a bad idea to take it on any upcoming date :)!

    I'm definitely taking it with me, TL!
    Another good thing is that XBF doesn't work for these guys so I won't be working with him as I had feared! He's a nice guy and everything, but I've tried working with an ex before and it didn't work.

    They mentioned me having to work late some days to make calls to the west coast, which is actually great. I think that way, I can manage to go in late two days a week and stay on my tennis team with my friends. My season doesn't start til September so if everything works out with the job, I've got til then to figure out the specifics.

    By the way - the gym's doing really badly. EBL was crying quite a bit today and kept trying to get the trainers to have their clients come in and pay early so she can meet pay roll.
    The front desk manager's last day is next Thursday and after that it'll just be me and the lady they're moving to the front desk from fulfillment.
    Anyway - I'm not mentioning anything to them at the gym about having found a second job. I don't want them to let me go thinking I'll be all set at another job until I'm sure I like the new job and want to stay with it.

    So.....you Facebook'ers - no mentioning of the new job, okay?

    GD, I am so excited for you. You are a hard worker and I am sure it will take you no time to get up to speed and blowing their socks off! Hopefully you will like it enough to transition into FT and leave the gym behind!

    Thanks, KYKat! They were asking me how much time I needed to give notice at the gym and I was starting to freak out a bit about quitting the gym and taking this job just like that - especially when I really didn't get everything they were talking about! When one of them asked if I wanted to start part-time until I made a decision, that seemed perfect!
