Cat House on the Kings

  1. Well I called the 'Cat House on the Kings' Sanctuary to see if they could help home my ferals for me,rather than what the inevitable might be for them. I talked to the Founder herself, Lynea Lattanzio. She has such a calmness to her voice. It's no wonder her sanctuary has been successful (with so many cats in one place getting along-that is). A successful sanctuary would be one that wasn't needed at all.
Sadly enuf, her place is full up w/700 plus cats & at least 100 kittens. she could only recommend calling a place in S.F. called Bright Haven, who might be able to help (that's a slight might) w/my elderly ferals. I'm quite bummed out about it. I was so hoping she could help me. :(

I tried to transfer the link to Cat House on the Kings so you could all see what this woman does for cats & dogs alike. The puter is not allowing me to share for some reason. But,If you google the name & click the 'facility' link at top when your sent to the sight...you'll be in awe as to what this woman has accomplished with her sanctuary.

  2. Aw, Feral, I am so sorry! I wish she had better news. I can't imagine her housing 700 cats and 100 kittens! What a women she must be! God is definitely going to make sure she goes straight to Heaven. I am sure he has a plan for your babies too, don't give up yet! (((FERAL)))

  3. I'm trying not to MC. If you haven't yet, & get the chance, google the site. They have a video of the founder & all her beautiful ferals. It's just amazing to see hundreds & hundreds of cats & even several pooches mingling around the property...all of them getting along. It's an awesome video.

  6. When I was in Fresno 4 years ago I saw in the paper they would be at a local Petsmart/ petco don't remember which with cats for adoption. I was really missing my guys so went to see the California cats. The women that were there were really nice and let me get one out and hold and cuddle him. He was an adult color point that had been left a a migrante workers camp when they moved on, he was so lovable and sweet but every one was looking at the kittens not the adult. They wanted to know if I wanted to take him home....oh my wasnt sure about driving all he way home with a new cat. I tried to get ahold of them the day before I was leaving to see if he had been adopted but never heard back from them. Even tried to email them when I got home but never got a reply guesss with 700plus cats it keeps them pretty busy

  7. Thanks Azdeb. Don't know why the puter wouldn't cooperate w/me. Could be cuz I'm illiterate to them. :)

As sson as I heard her voice on the phone, I knew why she was able to house so many kits & have them all get along. She has such a calmness to her. I can't get over how incredibly healthy all the kits look. I wish they could've helped. Maybe If I called her back & told her I'd work on her ranch for free If she'd take my feral babies & I could live on-site. :)

    In my Dreams....

  8. You know Susie, you just might want to run that idea by her. I'm sure she could use extra help and you have plenty of experience. (I don't know about the live on-site part, ha ha)

  9. NNGM...I'm a small thing. I could probably hide there for awhile till all the kits & dogs get to know me,then introduce myself. hahaha
