Porchia was already adopted...oh well...I am sure what ever home she went to was loving.
I went back to looking on petfinder (I am determined to adopt!) and I saw this beautiful kitten named Trudy. She is adorable!

She is so cute! Seems to me like she is a russet gray color and a ticked tabby, meaning stripes only on her face, legs, and tail. Not you're every day looking tabby! She has medium long fur and in her description it says that it is really soft. Now that vacation is over with, I think I am going to visit her on Monday and adopt!!

Oh no! Sorry about Porchia! Trudy is very cute, though, CF!
I just went to PetsMart and it was adoption day. I can't help but look. They had about 12 kittens. The one that caught my eye was a tortie that was older than the rest - probably 4-5 months. When I and this other couple came up to look at him/her, he/she flopped over for a belly rub!!! I've never seen a cat at adoption day be comfortable enough to do that! I had to make my way to the check out VERY fast!!

I didn't realize you lived in Nashville! I lived there for 5 years and miss it so much! We lived in the 'Highlands' on Cloudland Dr. Does that happen to ring a bell? I went to St. Cecilia Academy. . . :)

hmmm...never heard of Highlands, but I have 2 very close friends who go to St Cecilia Academy! It sounds like a great school! I live in Brentwood, which is directly off of a Nashville exit.

here is the down side to this:
I have to bring Trudy back to the shelter for her to get spayed/neutered and for her to get her kitten shots and the drive to the shelter is a good half hour away...*sighs* and when you adopt you have a fill out an interview form, which they can either decline or approve and they said the minimum that someone would have to pay for a puppy or kitten is $258.00, which is alot for a kitten....Posted 2 years ago by Catfancier #

Yeah, it does seem like a 'fee'. But you would have to pay for medical expenses if you got a kitten from a friend or found one. And the site says Miss Trudy is up-to-date on her shots so you know you aren't going to bring her home, fall in love, then find out she has a fatal disease and lose her.
She is extremely cute and looks like she has a bit of an attitude.

Lol! Actually, I got the name Bianca from this movie called "Lars and the Real Girl" it was so funny. A man has a Mannequin that he thinks is an actual person and it is his girlfriend, and she is named Bianca. Another reason I chose this name is because it means 'Pure' in Italian.

here is what they say on there website about adoption fees:
There is no adoption fee for mixed breed puppies or kittens at LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT! We only require reimbursement for medical services already given (first examination, vaccinations, dewormings, laboratory tests, etc.). A commitment to finish the vaccination series and have the pet spayed or neutered at Murphy Road Animal Hospital is also required.
