Hi SOM, Deb and AV. It's a beautiful day here too SOM, and there is no way you are old enough to have a 28 year old g-daughter! Happy Birthday to her.
I am actually going to hang out with my sister in about 2 hours. We plan to go to the farmers market, lunch, a bit of shopping. Love my girls but I need a break and regroup, so this will be nice!

Morning to all! It is soooooooooooo nice outside today. We had some pretty strong storms last night. Didn't sleep all that well, so we slept in a little later today. Now the breeze is blowing, no humidity, sun shining! HAPPY SUNDAY! Gonna cruise up to the bar and have some pancakes, sausage and cranberry juice! Hi AV, sorry you are an "empty nester"! CM, you have a few years to go, so enjoy your "mommy free" time with sis!

Morning, all! I will start off with an iced coffee! New Orleans is already hot and humid! My daughter heads to college in about 2 months, and while she will be living on campus, the campus is only about a mile from our house!!! I think I have found the best of both worlds - she will be learning to live with others, but close enuf to come by frequently - laundry, Sunday dinner, etc... but it will be a huge hole in my life! I guess I could adopt some more kittehs!

Good morning, everyone! NC - how's your recovery going?
I slept in this morning and am just taking it easy for now. I'm starting to get really, really nervous about that new job tomorrow. Actually more than nervous - I'm dreading it and keep telling myself I won't be able to do it. I also have a TON of things to do this week that I'll ave to try and either fit in (in the little over an hour I'll have between jobs) or reschedule. I also have a two-day new dog-sitting gig that'll be hard to get done. This is a test run for two other times during July the family will be going away, so I want it to go well so I can get the job. :(

Haha - I was wondering how long it would take someone to ask :)
I didn't want to put too much in one post above.I went to Chili's to meet them at 9:15 and after a couple of minutes, the brother (GGB) walked in, gives me a hug and tells me he's not sure where GG is. I start really wondering now, if they're trying to hook me up with GGB! Anyway, GG showed up a few minutes later, thank goodness!
We had an absolutely great time just the three of us, having dinner and a couple of drinks and ended up closing down Chili's - they finally threw us out a little past 12:30! I had worried (I do that a lot!) that it would be awkward or something, but it wasn't at all and we pretty much laughed the whole time we were there.I'm not sure if we just went out as friends or what was going on, but we had such a good time, I'm sure we'll hang out again, which is a good start, right?
And I did get a nice long hug before I left :) -

Good Morning all...can't even stay for coffee. We're expecting 108 degrees here today (had 105 yesterday),so scrammbling to get things done so I can hybernate inside where it's cooler. Just needed to connect w/you all with a morning Hello.
GD...glad your date (or get-together?) turned out well. It's safer to start out slow like you have. :)

I was relieved it went so well especially since I didn'tnow what to expect.Unfortunatley I have no confidenc about th job tomorrow, SOM :( I hope once they explai tings to me in more detail, that'llall change. I keep remiding myself I kew absolutely nothing about credit insuance when I started wrkin for Old Boss and he ended up telling me wasthebest office manager he'd had in the 25 years he'd worked in the businss.

I am still pretty nauseated but my head only moderately hurts. The cooler weather is really helping today. I am relaxing with the girls today, reading the paper and not doing much really at all!

Feeling nauseous is the pits!!!!!!! Yup, I suspect the cooler, drier weather would help you to feel better....geez, when will you be free from feeling yucky??!!I know you said before about the headaches and nausea being expected for quite awhile! UGH!!! Somehow, that doesn't seem fair!

I keep up my spirits by reminding myself, with or without surgery headaches would have been a part of my life. At least now I know there is an end in sight!

Good attitude, MC! Are your girls staying out of trouble??
Gizmo was rather 'wild' earlier, running from one end of the house to the other, but it only lasts so long, then he is done and ready to sleep! He really does seem like a lazy cat...I try to play with him, but he doesn't seem to be able to stick with it for long at all....hey...maybe he has ADD! -
