  6. I just got home from running some errands and the smell is wonderful. The fire had died down a bit while I was out but the soup is simmering away gently now and I am about to pop a corned silverside in another pot to cook beside the soup. It's wet and cold and windy outside but it winter. Shadz is still in her tent by the fire catnapping.
    Paying bills(shudders), yeah the fun part of life.

  7. The soup sounds good and love the smells of anything cooking/simmering. Shadz knows when life is good :) Bills, just really glad that I can pay them with the way the economy is going worldwide.

  8. Shadz left me a 'gift' on the front door step this morning, unfortunately I didn't notice it until after I stood on it and squashed it. Eeeekkkk, a headless mouse and now it's flattened.

  9. Squished mousie, ewwww now that I wouldn't miss and glad that mine are indoor monsters. At my previous house, Haje used to catch lizards and bring them to me as 'presents'.

  10. Shadz just asked to go outside and that's when I noticed I have run the mouse over with the car, it was on the driveway. Ewwwwwwww.
    Another job beckons me now so I had better go and do it. Sweet dreams for tonight Deb, it's your Friday isn't it.

  15. Peeks in to see kitties softly snoring in the corners, and the lights turned to a low dim glow, good that means they are all comfy.

    May not stay, woke up from this nap with a raging, wall hugging screaming migraine so have taken meds to see if it pierces thru the haze and pain bubble. I have been trying to wean off of the prescription meds for them because of possible rebound headaches, its not working though I do fear as they are getting worse. So back to bed with my woosy physical constitution, miss the night shift, sigh.

  16. Hi AZ! I'm not sure what exactly the job is. It's working for some friends of XBF's that he shares an office. The job is as an appointment setter for these guys. They have some kind of production company.
    I've got a horrible feeling I'm in over my head!

  19. It's 11.14pm NZ time, ...the night is very chilly in NZ and cool to d**n hot in USA ..... so time to close Night Shift and snuggle under the comforters, so here goes gratis AZDEBRA, LV , & Tigger from the beginning....good job everyone & bless you...

    check - turns fountains off
    check - sweep the floor (never know who has been tossing stuff around)
    check - lights off and turns out neon "TDK Night-Shift" and "Poetry Jam" sign in window
    check - night lights glowing gently, puts on cool jazz radio for ambiance and stragglers check - cat flaps swings creeeeeeeek (pulls out WD-40), check cat flaps again to ensure they swing quietly and effortlessly
    check - doors closed, left just ajar so fuzzbutts don't come to us with complaints
    check - dry kibble out as a midnight snack (so hopefully no 5 am breakfast wake-up call) and freshens litter-box. Puts away assorted fuzzy, squeaky cat-toys into Toy-Box

    check - windows slightly open for Northern TDKers' spring and closed for Southern TDKers' autumn.

    Goodnight to all our imaginary friends in TDK land, Goodnight Airy and Jim-man. White light,healing energy and prayer for all those in need. Be careful out there! Bless all those whom have left before us, please watch over us >^..^<
