Still can't "see" anyone today, sigh. I actually have to look at your names; I've gotten so used to everyone's avatars!

JCat she has the travel bug for sure!! It started at age 17 months! I took her to Germany. I have taken her to France, Belguim, Switzerland, and Austria! She has now added 4 other countries--she loves to travel. I think she probably will go to Australia with People to People, but she is also looking at that last summer with friends before heading to college. I know she will have to make the decision by October.

Ooh, that's hard too, it would be hard to leave your last summer with the friends you grew up with before going away to college. On the other hand, whatever she does, she will enjoy and have wonderful memories of! She is a lucky girl already to have seen so much of Europe!

To go back to the tale of our athletes. Hardly any of our children are what you would call "serious" althetes. Eunice was running in a pair of ordinary tennis shoes and her ordinary school PE kit, against girls with spikes and the full lycra kit. Jeffrey ran and jumped wearing really big heavy trainers - again no spikes. I wonder what they might have done had they had really good kit, and if they trained properly. The only training they get is participation in PE lessons, and of course they have to do Tennis, Cricket and rounders as well as athletics. You cannot imagine just HOW well they did even to get to the championships!

It's 6 - 5 in the 3rd set. Soderling serving to stay in the match.

Yeah, ctrl f5 doesn't work. Weird. Boss and I have an appointment with the police chief this afternoon regarding transportation and she says we can leave from there since we stayed way too late on Friday. First bit of good news today - yay!

Morning, Everyone! I'm back from the gym but still trying to cool down. It's not supposed to be as hot here today - only in the 90's. We actually had some rain yesterday.
{{{{{{Deb}}}}}} I'm so sorry about your headache!

PM, will you PLEASE be careful?? Pushing those buttons can cause such strain...
Oh AV, you have seen Hazel? She was supposed to help me this weekend, sigh. She knows where I live too, so that's no excuse. I even had a landing strip installed on my rooftop in case she flies when she's tipsy and needs more skidding room. At least I got thru one of my "staging" areas where stuff was heaped. A friend lost power (out of the clear blue - such is life in the woods) so she came over and left with a lot of stuff I wanted to get rid of!Posted 2 years ago by JoanfromNewJersey #

Hewitt saved 4 set points but lost the 5th. Stepanek won the first set 6 - 4.

Thank you for your concern, Joan. I'll just get some ice-cream to cool any strained muscles, and perhaps a jug of pimms to ease the throat.....
