  1. Hey Y'all, Greetings from the birthplace of Elvis! Well, I have an exciting few days. My pushy girlfriend Barb sent a stranger to the museum to meet me. My 19 year old assistant, Spencer, is the offical gate keeper. It is hard to get past Spencer sometimes. This poor guy stood downstairs stammering and trying to figure out how to get through this. Anyhoo, I finally went downstairs and met him. I was extremely distracted but I did manage to mention that he wasn't a member of the museum. I have had two dates with him and I think I like him! YIKES, now what am I supposed to do?

I know, quietly slips a banana pudding through the worm hole for AV's anniversary!!!

  2. Murray has held his serve and leads 4 - 3 in the final set.

  3. AV, one of my favorite local pizza parlors uses a touch of honey in the crust and they put packs of honey in the pizza box so you can dip your crusts in honey to use as dessert! For me, the most important thing is to get the crust really done. I hate biting into the crust and it is doughy inside.

Other hints and tips? Put a little red wine in the sauce and be liberal with with. Dry pizza = yuck pizza in my book.

To be really sure, I think you and hubbs need to come to the Chicago meet. You can write it off as an unreimbursed business expense if you eat Pizza while you are there. It's Research!

PM thanks for the Wimbledon updates! I love Roger Federer. My grandmother was Swiss so I consider him my homeboy!

  5. ....desparately calls WWM to see if she has a straight jacket handy to put on PM, so she can't damage herself further......

... LOL... FH...... I don't see how the cashiers at the grocery store can press the buttons with their "one inch" claw nails either!.....hmmmmmm, maybe that explains why my grocery bills are so expensive! LOL

  12. Av, I love making home made pizza. I often will make it on Pita bread so we can each have our individual pizzas. Also has the advantage of not having to wait for dough to rise. I even use Tortillas in a pinch. Nieces and nephews like it when we put all potential ingredients into bowls and they can load their own pizza.

Alfredo sauce (instead of red), spinach, chicken, tomato and bacon is a favorite of hubby's.

  22. Murray plays Juan Carlos Ferrero in the quarter final on Wednesday.

  23. I feel so sorry for Murray! He has so much weight on his shoulders in trying to win this tournament. At least the baseball teams and other teams who haven't won a championship have others to share in the pressure. Wow! Thank goodness they put in that roof or they'd had to have come back tomorrow and play and then not had a day off before their next match.

  24. AV, happy to help anytime. I love to cook and I am excited about your new venture. What a great thing for your neighborhood. Really good pizza is one of the finer things in life. mmmmm crispy chewy crust, rich tomato-ie sauce, ooey gooey cheese, spicy sausage, salty olives........oooooooh swoon! Thud. Dang it, the COA only works for cute overload, not food swoons!

  25. Okay I have an hour and 10 minutes and I am ready to go home now. Kykat, I like your idea of making pizza. Sounds like fun. AV, I am willing to be a taste tester but you need to send the cybermobile which I think is currently at Chuck's house.

FH, my nails grow fast and I am continuously cutting them down or I would have claw like nails too. I find that I cannot zip up my pants properly when they get too long or type fast.

  26. KYKAT, it is all about the deep dish Chicago style pizza, now THAT IS PIZZA! Stuffed with mozzarella, spinach and sun dried tomatoes! HEAVEN

  27. LOL KK!..... I'm excited too!..... finally able to combine my love of cooking, with actually making a living - since real estate is in the tank, we thought we'd actually use one of our own properties to do something!.....we have driven by our store on the weekends (Fri. and Sat. nights), and there are always 100-200 people out and about until about 2am....... there are a few local pubs around there, and it's a walk around kind of neighborhood, with a nice little park across the street, where people congregate - street bands play, etc........ there isn't a late night restaurant anywhere close either....there's a guy that rolls a BBQ cart in sometimes, and I bet he's making a killing!...... so Hubbs thought *why not try our hand at selling street food*.....

Posted 2 years ago by AV #

  28. Do you have to have a health permit to do that, AV? Here we do. You might want to check local ordinances to see what is required.

Posted 2 years ago by WillowandWindismom #

  29. You are going to develope a cult following. Especially if you have outdoor tables. It wont take long before you are a neighborhood institution and are featured on the food channel!

    Posted 2 years ago by KYKAT 12 23 #

  30. I hope you do brilliantly AV, but WWM's advice about checking the regulations is a good idea.
