The rescue agency had a 2 for one special on black cats so we brought home 3 month old sisters the other day. I am toying around with names for them (one actually has a little white on his belly). I am thinking Lucyfur and Anakin (since he did end up being Darth Vader and was all in black) and calling them Lucy and Ani for short.
Any other suggestions?
Those are cute names. My black cat was Menden. My very dark almost black charcoal grey with black stripes is named Rumpleteaser. I have a Lissyfur--that is my dachshund--when she naughty I call her Lucifer! I really think your names are cute.

Cute names! My black kitty was Sebastian and we called her Bastian..she was named after the crab in The Little Mermaid, even though she was a girl :)

I like the name Sable, that Siobhan made up and the name Ebony which also means black. So it would be Sable and Ebony. Lol! Lusa also means black.

We had a black cat (Blackey-Wackey)...novel huh! He had a few white strands
under his chin...would stick his tongue out while purring...looked so silly! He was the 2nd cat my dad put up with...we were mellowing him out for Blackey was a pretty mellow cat! In chooseing names...match the personality is a good
way to go!
I had a black girl kitty years ago that I adopted as an adult at a terrible pound. I felt like she had such bad luck, things didn't go her way, so I named her Murphey. She was my murphy's law cat. Hensen, Toulouse, Charlie, Stink, Big Guy, Spike, are some of the names that I have used for black cats. For some reason, black cats are attracted to me!

Thanks SOXSMOM! We are pretty big SW fans around here. I had thought Vader since he was supposed to be evil and wore all black, but that seems like more of a boy's name but Anakin we could call her Ani and be ok. And I love the show Supernatural so I thought Lucyfur was cute as well in that theme.
Lots of good ideas though. I'll toss them around with my daughter and see what she thinks.

We had a black cat named Aunt Jemimah---she let me put my doll clothes on her (including my bonnet) and we thought she looked a whole lot like the lady on the syrup bottle! :)

My sister's cat was named Wizard but he was a huge black cat that was all muscle and a thick fur coat with golden amber eyes. He was a good cat with never trying to bite my niece when she was little and pulled his tail (we stopped her doing this of course). He was a gorgeous cat that even I miss as he loved it when I would rub and scratch his back. He had this deep rumble of a purr.
I had a neighbor who rescued a feral kitten and named it Bete Noire. That name has many meanings. One is dark beast (for something disliked) and another meaning is a rich flourless chocolate cake. Not sure what he was thinking when he named it.

OK so my friend who is farsi named her black cat meshky which means black in farsi but when i googled it i became worried it might be derogative. check it out tho because Meshky is the cutest name!
