  1. ((GD))..... you life is always so busy!..... hope the new job works out (even if you take the secretary bit).... and hoping the gym gets back on it's feet....

.... who needs to "watch" Wimbledon, when we have our resident "tennis sportscaster", PM!.......

Posted 2 years ago by AV #

  2. I think I hear ESPN calling: "PM oh PM come work for us!" LOL

  3. Now there's my dream job, AV - tennis sports caster!

MC, I chatted with GG last night but then EBL called and he left. And who knows how many more chances I'll have to hang out with him at the gym.....

I definitely think I'll get more comfortable with the new job as time goes by, am just not there quite yet. I actually like the research part of it. I'm looking around online for companies I can contact whose products may fit into the story line. I found a really neat gadget today for washing dogs! (Figure we can fit it into the show because it's a time saver for the busy mom, kind og thing). I'm actually thinking of buying one and expanding the petsitting to some grooming as well because it looks really easy. If everything pans out with the new job I may not need to, but if it doesn't and the gym goes down I'm going to need all the money I can make.

  4. Maybe you could talk to them at Petsmart. I think (could be wrong) they might offer Pet Grooming classes. I know you don't really have the time but it might something to incorporate into your pet sitting business! That's really too bad about the gym. I loved it when I worked at the YMCA, a really great job!

  5. ...well GD, at least you're creative and using you talents!.... I admire your "get up and go".... with all you're going through, and you have the MOST positive attitude!.... way to go!.... you'll do just fine, and I'm sure will be successful in whatever you try!.....crossing paws for more GG time! ;)

  6. It's ironic how I really wasn't liking it here and ow that it looks like we'll be closing, I realize I'm going to miss it!
It all changed when I started working nights and didn't have to deal with EBL and BB anymore. I like most of the others who work here and I really like most of the people who come in at night - especially GG, of course!

Posted 2 years ago by GreatDane #

  7. Thanks, AV! Keep those paws crossed! I'd really like to see if we can do something about the 4th.....

Posted 2 years ago by GreatDane #

  8. Aw, GG! Is he there working out today???

    Posted 2 years ago by mollycat71 #

  9. Nope. Usually it's Monday, Wednesday, Friday - or Saturday if he missed Friday. I'm too tired to socialize and try to look nice today anyway!

Posted 2 years ago by GreatDane #

  10. Here's the bath product. I was wondering if it would work for kitties, too!

If you watch the demo you can see how easily he washes the dog.

Posted 2 years ago by GreatDane #

  11. I can't imagine it wouldn't work!

  12. The men's doubles was the semi final. Nestor and Zimonic will meet Bryan and Bryan in the final on Saturday. Saturday is also ladies final day.

Tomorrow is men's semi final day Federer v Haas and Murray v Roddick.

It's also women's double semis and the mixed double semis. Matina Navratilova and Helena Sukova will be playing the No. 1 seeds Black and Huber.

Jamie Murray and Liesl Huber will be playing a pair of Brits in the mixed double semi - now who do I shout for?

    Posted 2 years ago by Pollys_Mum_in_UK_2605 #

  13. You shout for whomever you want but be sure to have some wine nearby. Don't want to get a dry throat!

    Posted 2 years ago by mollycat71 #

  14. But the problem is I want Jamie Murray to win and Greg Rusedski. It's not fair that Brits are playing each other in the semis, it ought to be the final!

    Posted 2 years ago by Pollys_Mum_in_UK_2605 #

  15. In an interview Andy Roddick said that he won't be intimidated by the atmosphere on Centre Court. He said he will just pretend that when people start shouting "Come on Andy" he'll pretend they're shouting for him!

    Posted 2 years ago by Pollys_Mum_in_UK_2605 #

  16. I guess that is a great attitude to have about the whole thing! :)

    Posted 2 years ago by mollycat71 #

  17. Rusedski is playing????

Posted 2 years ago by GreatDane #

  18. I'm going to have to go to bed soon. Can't be exhausted before the tennis even starts. I'm going to be sooooooooooooooooooo peeved if they are both long matches and I have to miss the end of the Murray Roddick match because it's choir practice.

    Posted 2 years ago by Pollys_Mum_in_UK_2605 #

  19. Yes GD in the mixed doubles.

    Posted 2 years ago by Pollys_Mum_in_UK_2605 #

  20. I'm assuming it's Greg Rusedski, there can't be two Brits with that surname playing tennis, surely.
Anyway on the order of play for tomorrow it has Murray/Huber v Petchey/Rusedski. There's no court or start time yet, because Liesl Huber is also still in the ladies doubles and will be playing Navratilova/Sukova at 13.00 on Court 1.
Her poor partner (Black) has to play her mixed double straight after the ladies double. The matches are scheduled to follow each other on Court 1.

    Posted 2 years ago by Pollys_Mum_in_UK_2605 #

  21. Cool!
I drove him around one year at the local tournament. Kind of an odd bird, but nice enough. Loves golf.

I'm looking forward to the matches tomorrow. Since I'm only working til noon at the new job, I should be able to catch most of it. I'll stop home for 45 minutes and watch and then watch the rest at the gym.
I'm not a fan of the Williams sisters so I'm not going to be watching Saturday unless someone wants it on tv at the gym.

Posted 2 years ago by GreatDane #

  22. Of course if Rusedski loses he's Canadian, right? ;-)

Posted 2 years ago by GreatDane #

  23. By the way, I love Jamie Murray. He's been playing the local tournament where I work for the last few years and is a very pleasant guy.

Posted 2 years ago by GreatDane #

  24. Perhaps, but his partner's a Brit, whereas Jamie's partner is "damn' yankee!"

    Posted 2 years ago by Pollys_Mum_in_UK_2605 #

  25. Both of the Murray boys seem to be nice young men. Jamie is the elder brother.

    Posted 2 years ago by Pollys_Mum_in_UK_2605 #

  26. PM! A "damn" Yankee! LOL I don't much care for the Williams sisters either. They seem to rub me the wrong way for some reason.

    Posted 2 years ago by mollycat71 #

  27. Best wishes and prayers requested for my Max, taking him to the vet for an almost fist sized tumor/bump on his side that has come up within the last week.

Posted 2 years ago by AZDEBRA 5/27 & crew #

  28. Oh no, AZDebra!!! Prayers and white light coming up for poor Max!

Posted 2 years ago by GreatDane #

  29. I won't watch the women's final either, but I will try to see the men's double final and the mixed double final.

I have just looked at the actual Wimbledon website and realise that the information I got from my TV is all wrong.
