  9. It's 5.53 and if Murray is going to win this he has to win the next two sets. I have to leave for choir practice at 7.20. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!

  10. Have to go do the shopping--this is killing me!!! Wish I could see the match! I hope they are finished before you have to leave--but I don't know....

  11. 2 games all 4th set, Murray serving 40 - 30.

    Posted 8 months ago by Pollys_Mum_in_UK_2605 #

  12. deuce, another massive miss hit, just like the one at the end of the third set.

    Advantage Murray game Murray.

He's slowed the match down and is forcing Roddick to play long rallies. After several strokes, Roddick often makes a mistake. Roddick has been trying to keep points short and has been playing a lot of serve and volley tennis.

    3 - 2 Murray.

    Roddick serving: 15 - 0, 15 - 15, 30 - 15, 40 - 15, 40 - 30, deuce, advantage Roddick, game Roddick.

    3 games all.

    Posted 8 months ago by Pollys_Mum_in_UK_2605 #

  13. 40 - 0 Murray serving. Game Murray.

    4 - 3 Murray.

The commentator has just said he thinks there will be another one and a half - two hours of play!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Posted 8 months ago by Pollys_Mum_in_UK_2605 #

  14. Roddick serving 30 - 30, the crowd scents blood - 30 - 40, they are baying for Murray. deuce - in both it's meaings! Advantage Roddick, game Roddick.

    4 games all

Murray is not managing to convert his break points into breaks. I am beginning to get worried here.

    30 - 0, 30 - 15, 40 - 15, game Murray.

His last shot was wonderful, millimetres inside the baseline.

Murray has beaten Roddick 6 times out of 8 matches, he won the last 3. Come on Murray, you can do it again!

Roddick serving with the sun in his eyes.

    15 - 0, 30 - 0, 40 - 0, game Roddick.

    5 - 5 4th set

    New balls, Murray serving 15 - 0, 30 - 0, 40 - 0, 40 - 15, 40 - 30 (Murray put the ball wide), game Murray

Murray leads 6 -5 fourth set.

If he can break Roddick now he can win the set without going to the tiebreak. Roddick is a demon in tiebreaks, he's won 25 and lost 4 this year!

15 - 0, 15 - 15 (Roddick put it in the net, when it should have been an easy winner), 30 - 15 (ace), 40 - 15 (this time Murray put it in the net), game Roddick. Tiebreak

    GROAN!

  16. 1 - 0 Murray, 1 -1, 2 - 1 Roddick, 3 - 1 Roddick, 3 - 2 Roddick, 4 - 2 Roddick, 5 - 2 Roddick, 5 - 3 Roddick, 5 - 4 Roddick, 6 - 4 Roddick, If Roddick wins this he's in the final, 6 - 5 Roddick - Murray is back on track. Game set and match Roddick.

    BooooHooooooooo!

But it was a great match. Murray is only 22, he'll be back, but I really wanted him to get through to the final. Phooey!

  18. Murray/Huber and Knowles/Groenefeld are now playing mixed doubles on Centre Court, but I have to go to choir practice.

It's 2 games all, both ladies have lost their serve.

  19. I'm heart broken, I wanted Murray to get through. Oh well, back to bed and my organic purring hot water bottle.

  20. I'd Love to see Federer & Roddick play again together. They are the most Gorgeous men in tennis. I just Love to watch them. :)

  21. Crap! I wanted Murray to win! Would have been great to have a Brit in the final :(

  22. There is some cheering in New Mexico!

Posted 8 months ago by SoxsMom #

  23. It would have been great :(. I think the pressure got to Murray a bit - apparently he got into trouble for shouting at the ref too, and that's not like him (from what I've seen). There has been so much attention on the lad here. next year maybe! They both played really well though.

  24. Glad someone is happy about who won SM! :)

  25. Whew! Now I can safely catch up with what's going on without finding out the results! Hey, I'm glad too! Although I wouldn't have minded if Murray had one, I'd love to see Roddick play Federer in the final. The only problem now is who do I cheer for? I want Roddick to win, but not if it's against my all time fav--Roger Dodger! :)

  28. I was rooting hard for Murray (trying to counteract hubby rooting for Roddick), sorry PM! He'll be back, though, I'm sure of it.

  29. Just to reply to Metsa about Murray getting in trouble with the umpire.

Murray missed a shot and bellowed out "Come on, Pat" (I have no idea why he yells that but he does). The umpire then reprimanded him for using an obscenity. That would mean he would be fined substantially by the LTA, so he asked the umpire perfectly politely, what he thought he had said. The umpire refused to reply. Murray finished the game (which he lost) and then asked the umpire again what he thought he had heard. Again the umpire refused to answer, but when Murrray told the umpire exactly what he HAD said and asked again "What do you think I said?" The umpire replied "I might have been mistaken" to which Murray replied "There's no might about it, you were definitely mistaken" and the match continued. Both commentators were astounded by the umpire and could not work our why he had called Murray for obscenity. Their excuse for the umpire was "Well he's French"
