   I just had to share the news with my TDK Family (& Not for tooting my own horn purposes).

   I sent off my "Lucky Hopper Trap" to Jadete this morning. She should be recieving it within the week. It was the most WONDERFUL feeling to be doing this for someone who needs it. It's probably the best "Pay-It-Forward" I've been able to contribute since I started rescuing eons ago.

   I will also add that this great feeling would never have been possible if it weren't for my TDK sisters & brothers that helped me along the way with their personal "Pay-It-Forwards". I'm definately not thru w/the P-I-F's. But...as they say...baby steps.

   Hoover...your coming home whether you like it or not! (is that too harsh?)

   I Love You All...& can't wait till Jadete gets the Lucky Trap! Hahaha

   Hoover is in TROUBLE now! That trap is MAGIC! You are such a wonderful person Feral, you will be rewarded for your kindness. Not to mention, Hoover will send you kitty kisses after his meowmy gets done disciplining him! Thanks for being such a good friend to your fellow TDK'ers!

   MC...this is such a small thing compared to what everyone has rallyied around to help me with over the last several yrs. But it's as emotional & Gratifying as when I finally caught Hopper & Hissy,& when My sister & yourself got out of the hospital, & when Chester's Place came to be, &....well...you get the idea.

   As for Thanks...I don't know where I would be today,or if I would even be here today if it weren't for TDK. Lots more Thanks heading in yours & everyone else's direction,than the other way around.

   The trap I have must be faulty. I went out this morning to pick up my Sunday paper and looked at the trap. It was totally empty, trap not sprung and yet the two plastic bowls I had in there for food and water had disappeared. Do I have ghosts? I don't think so. I went to my driveway to get the paper and there was one of the bowls in the middle of the street. I had to look for the other one, which I found in the nieghbors front yard. Neither bowl was chewed up. I think the dog from across the street did it, but I'd sure like to know how he got his big head in there without setting off the trap. I have to stretch my long arm just to reach the back of the cage to get those bowls in there! I can't wait for Feral's trap to get here. I hope it works better than this one!

    Jadete...hang in there. Help is on the way. hahaha. And it's a good bet the racoon(s) took your bowls. I've lost a few here because of them. I finally went so far as to use the meow mix throw-away cups or the small butter tubs. I poked a small hole in the side of them & tied them to the inside of the trap w/bread ties. I also had to start putting heavy glass bowls set down into iron skillets to stop them from spilling over or running off w/the water dishes for the oudoor kits.
    The things I do in the name of 'Making all the animals Happy' in the world is downright silly.

    BTW...the fella that works at Petsmart I told you about thats vacationing this coming week in Tenn....he's landing at Nashville airport. Small world,huh? He even asked me yesterday when he saw me there,if the box he gave me worked & if I got the trap sent off to you okay. How sweet of him,huh?

    A Hoover sighting!!! About an hour ago I was upstairs in my bedroom, I heard meowing. I looked around, I had Truman and BrightFlower up there with me. I went to the window and meowed, then went downstairs and out the front door. I looked to one side of the house, then the other. I saw the orange and white cat I had seen at the family's house down the road. I followed it around to the back of the house where it went down the hill and into the woods. I turned around to go back inside when I saw a dark head and ears peeking out just on the edge of the woods. I crept up slowly, calling "Hoover, come here Hoover" he raised his head, I saw his bright blue eyes....then he turned and ran into the woods! I spent the next half hour searching for him, decided he was gone so I went back inside. A few minutes later I looked out the window and there was the orange and white cat again. I went out the door as quietly as I could and got within maybe 30 ft of it when it took off down the road and headed towards home. I stayed and watched to see if Hoover followed, but I didn't see him anymore. I am going to get some good smelly food to put out tonight. Maybe he will come and eat (and get caught!!)

    Drats!!! The trap doesn't seem to have arrived today. Praying for a tomorrow appearance in the mail for you Jadete. Fingers & Paws crossed anyways.

    A very good sign that Hoover is staying close to home,but, I sure wish he'd stay away from the woods. Do you know if the Orange & White is a Male or Female? You might need to lure the Orange & Wht. in by feeding it. That way it might draw Hoover closer into home.

    When I moved, I had to leave my St. Francis. No statuary allowed at the new place, not even little ones. I hope whoever gets my old (moldy) apt. takes care of him!

    I don't know if the orange and white cat is male or female, I couldn't get close enough. It does seem that they are best buddies though. Maybe this is the one whos been teaching Hoover how to survive outside. More likely, I think is that Hoover is such a pig, that he's been eating all the food and this cat decided its time he went home and brought him back here! And you know, so much food has gone to waste here without Hoover eating it all after the other three have had their fill. I used to use a whole can in the morning and another at night. Now I use 1/2 can each time. And not all of it is eaten either. I have to throw a lot out.

    I am very glad to hear that he has been sighted. I can't take this much longer. Seriously, this is bringing back memories of my Beau disappearing and what I went through to find him. I did-- it all ended happily but I so identify with Jadette's frustration and anguish. I think she might end up having to settle in for a long period of gradually getting Hoover used to her coming with food and learning to welcome her, if she can't get him trapped. Eventually, he will trust her and let her bring him home.
