I like the sound of that PM. Have you been getting the heatwave where you are?

Yes. I am now a little grease-spot on the seat of my chair. It's been 80 - 90 degrees every day with high humidity and has only dropped to 75 at night, but it's a lot cooler today. It's 12.30 and it's only 73.

You should try what Ange was doing, just wearing your undies. Of course in the privacy of your own home. That's one way to keep cool.
Ohhhhhh how I envy you warmth. We have had a cold & wet day and in the far north of the north Island a tornado has left 15 houses and a hospital damaged. We have thunder storms forecast for the rest of the weekend too.Posted 2 years ago by Moonshadow_NZ #

I was checking my emails this morning when the whole lot deleted - except they weren't in the "trash" folder either. I hate computers.
I've had to mail those people whose emails I saw but hadn't read, to ask them to re-send, but I couldn't remember everyone who had sent something. Drat!

Yes, the heat is good but remember this week will probably be the whole British summer!
Last year the summer weather was so bad we didn't have a single barbecue. We only had about three nice days! We've had a week this year, but it's unlikely to last......Posted 2 years ago by Pollys_Mum_in_UK_2605 #

The trouble with just wearing undies is that we have leather chairs. Bare flesh, when you get hot and sticky, tends to glue itself to the upholstery. It was bad enough yesterday with my arms and calves sticking - I dread the thought of more sensitive bits adhering to the leather .......

You have had some terrible summers in the last few years haven't you. Ouch, imagine having all your summer in one week. I hope that this year isn't that bad.
Computers have minds or something similar of their own and they just wait to catch us out. I still have to ask Airy how to do things etc and she even writes "sighing" on the messages back to me.Posted 2 years ago by Moonshadow_NZ #

Owwwwwwwwwwwww, yes leather and bare flesh don't really go together do they. LOL

I am reasonably computer literate (colleagues at school sometimes even ask me how to do things) but the wretched things do go crazy every now and then.
The worst thing about sticking to leather is the velcro type sound associated with the pain! :-)

And when you hear that sound you just know you'll pay for it later on .
Time for me to head off to a warm bed. You sing beautifully at the wedding this afternoon PM. Catch up with your tomorrow maybe.

Maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa and sleep well MS. We'll be singing The Lord bless you and keep you, by John Rutter, a good thought to take to bed with you.

...wow!...... it actually worked!.... I actually went back to sleep for about 3 hours!..... man, I feel better!......I do SWEAR by those eye pillows- they make everything completely dark, and are scented with the most relaxing herbal combo...... I take them on planes a lot when we travel!
