  1. Today was a busy kitten day. I put a drop of olive oil in their formula last night and found out this morning that it was a great cure for kitten constipation! After cleaning them up and feeding them and cleaning them up again and then thoroughly cleaning out their nesting area...

My neighbor calls and says she has found someone to take the tabby boy. We were sad because we've only had him for a couple of days, but happy because his new owners have hand reared kittens before and want to take him right away. We thought they might take his black sister too. So we dropped the 2 kittens off at our neighbors and when we got back we found out that they decided to take "blaze" -- our sweet little gray guy -- with the boy tabby instead!

    :(

No, it's ok really -- we are happy he gets to stay with his brother and we're sure they are going to live in a very nice home. His new owners are a couple, and when the husband saw the little gray kitten he fell in love with them and couldn't bear to let him go.

And if someone else will adopt the two girls we will be happy, but we would also be happy to keep little black and white Jackie! She is sassy.

We have the two remaining girls in the meantime. The little gray tabby girl is totally dainty and cute. Tomorrow we are having a kitten open house, but I'm sure whoever sees them first will snap them up.

  2. Awwwww, sorry they took Blaze :(
Sounds like you and your neighbor are doing a great job raising the little ones.

  3. Yay! We found homes for the last two kittens today. I'm so excited that we were able to make sure all the kittens stayed with a sibling. One of the girls is clearly the alpha kitten, so I think they should get along well. The other one is very sweet and just likes to snuggle all day.

I'm sad to lose them, but I think we are definitely going to get another kitten! Mina loved the two girls so much, I think she really needs a friend:

She just loved to watch them play, and she was very gentle with them! I am so psyched to foster more kittens :)

  6. Yeah it's sad my old cat doesn't want anything to do with Mina... I guess I can't blame her though, she hasn't been a kitten for a very long time.

  7. That is amazing, little Mina is the big girl now! She does need a furr-riend!

  8. Reviving an old thread... After the last foster kittens found their homes, Mina was really sad. She started bugging us all of the time, but even worse she started pouncing Vesper, who has a lingering cold and really doesn't care to put up with that.

So we called around and tried to arrange getting a pet for Mina. We found a little 3 month-old black and white cow-cat we named Fritz and he just came home today! Fritz is skittish around humans, but he loves other cats. Hopefully they will be best friends, and play with each other instead of bugging Vesper...

    Fritzl:

I've never had a cow cat before! What a funny face. We like his curly white mustache.

  9. Loving Fritz! Hope he and Mina become the best of kitty friends!

  10. What an adorable little face - his mustache is so unusual and his name is perfect for him.
