Mum n I r down at the hospital. I'm relaxing a bit as she's asleep. She was having trouble walking and was dizzy, peed the bed and floor, was nausious and more yesterday and Saturday. So I brought her down to emergency room. She started with a fever just as she was admitted to a full floor. I will be darting about the hospital today. (it's almost 4 am ) And I'm here from my iPhone.

thanks guys! hahhaa yes i must say, im looking after myself more than usual. im trying to make sure that depsite my long walks to and from the hopsital and house, that i bathe, feed the cats, AND get proper nutrition. i usually let my nutrition lack a bit.....but right now a full 3 a day is needed. ill have to make up for sleep eventually tho. ill either take a taxi home tonight or figure out some time to catch some z's. he had a fever of 103-104, and was having trouble being bale to stand. when she walked, she would fall down, and had more trouble than usual getting back up. they said she has a urinary infection, and may have high blood pressure. i'm just glad that she's ok. she's been making me laugh this morning though, because she just can't grasp the idea that she cannot have anything except water with her meds. she is getting a pick line put in for her iv's. she asked when breakfast was coming, i said yours is here, and pointed to her iv bag. i ran down and got something to eat, because with all the energy im exerting all of a sudden, i don't want to wind up a patient myself.

It's very easy to let your own health slide when you're running around looking after a parent and the rest of the world - I know, been there, done that and washed the t-shirt MANY times! - so look after YOU Patti, and let us know how your Mum gets on. Give her a TDK hug from all of us!

huggs all! thnks so much. so far im fine......i got some rest in....my feet are killing me, and ill sleep more later. mum is also doing better.....but she does not like that she is not allowed to eat or drink. i promised id bring her a crossword puzzle in the morning.

HUGG! she's doing much better.....they feared she may have had a heart atack, and did further testing. the second rounds concluded that she didnt. but they said they feared too that the urinary infection could be a sign of dementia. they did testing on her and she's fine. she doesnt have it. it's just a vry bad urinary infection that went wild. my one friend cam earlier an said im surprised ur in makeup! i said, well, i didnt cry or anything. and i had to meet with dr.s today. i have kept my brave face and i know she's in good care. :) will keep all updated, ur suh a great fmaily!

That is GREAT news, Patti. (Mind you, I would be very surprised if someone who is clamouring for the crossword could be diagnosed with dementia.) Sending you more hugs and healing energies for your Mum. I hope the u.i. goes away quickly and that you get to get some rest!

yeap...she's ok. well, as for the crosswords, she said to me she was bored, so i suggested i'd bring her stuff. but yeah she's crazy, but only her usual. she was making a fuss about food today but she sat up most of the da. so she's getting better. as for me, im ok but my legs and feet are killing me. i am NOT going to walk home tomorrow. i might take the car up to the house tomorrow. the ui is also the lesser of my problems...i wish i could do sumthing about her mental health and her normal physical issues
