Was it Michael McIntyre by any chance? I saw him expounding on Welsh the other day and he was extremely funny. I aslo saw him on Top Gear last night and he reduced Clarkson to tears of laughter. He actually managed to render Clarkson speechless!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes!!! Well, it was his comedy uk tour programme. I love him, he's just great. And yes, I saw him on Top Gear last night too. Genius! And he does it without swearing or being filthy (wow, how puritanical am I getting in my old age?!)

He is just very, very funny. I don't like filth and swearing either, although somehow if it comes out of Billy Connelly's mouth it's OK. Sometimes Billy Connelly can reduce me to a giggling snivelling heap with tears pouring down my face.

I too like Billy Connolly, PM. With his accent the swearing isn't so dirty. Only an American can make swearing sound so dirty which is why I choose not to be around any who likes to swear alot. Irish and Scots accents make swearing sound anything but dirty. I too like my comedy with out the filthy mouth or as my family calls it "toilet mouth".
I was just making my travel arrangements for the big fall conference I have to go to Las Vegas in August and was checking airfares to Orange County for MCW's SoCal TDK Meetup. I found that the airfare to Orange County is up a little bit to $159 (originally around $139). Not sure about the hotels as of yet and hope they don't go up either. I am trying to save for the trip and if we get that tiny little bonus that the rumor mill at work is mentioning, then that will help a bit.

Hi all! I have been so busy today I am just now getting here and catching up on the day. Goodnite MCW! I work at a facility that has a wonderful 13 year old collie. She disappeared this weekend during the fireworks. I spent the afternoon combing the countryside looking for her. No luck! :(

Hi all!!!!! Happy Monday!
I made about 40 phone calls today at work and left a ton of messages. I did manage to set an appointment for the VP. He was very excited to see O got Swarovski! I got Tiffany's the other day! Anyway, it makes all the research and phone calls worth it when someone agrees to have me set up a meeting. Yay!
We had a new guy start today so now there are 4 of up setting up appointments.
Went from work to pick up money from the lady with the biting dogs and parrot - and found she'd forgotten (again!) to leave me money! Arrrrgh!Went to the post office to mail something for my dad, and then home for 30 minutes to change and eat something. Then off to work from 4:30 to 9:00. I'm going to try to get to bed earlyish tonight as all this work goes much smoother with more sleep.
Poor Old Boss' wife is having her surgery today for stomach cancer. I sent him a text to see how she's doing but haven't heard back. Our other friend spoke to OB around 3:00 and she was still in surgery (they started at 8:00). I hope she's okay..... :(

.... awww MC! prayers and paws crossed that you find her!...... good news for me on the job front today!...... I had interviewed about 6 mos ago with a realty firm that I was thinking about starting a new division for...... I didn't take the job because I was really over qualified, it was 100% commission, and though I don't mind working that way, it would take time to build up my base in a new venue.... so I concentrated on Hubbs and my own real estate , plus we didn't have to split with a larger company..... long story short, today the head regional called, and said they were looking for a new manager for that office, and would I hear what he had to offer?...... so I'm encouraged...... although unless it's has a fairly good base, I'm still more valuable concentrating what Hubbs and I do together..... however, if the salary is decent and I can make commission on top, it could be a good way to keep us afloat!....... oh dear, rummages in closet and takes sorry inventory of business clothers!...... I need a MAKEOVER!.....

GD, sorry about the money situation! UGH! I am praying OB's wife is ok. Sometimes those surgeries take a long time. My stomach surgery for ulcers took 3 hours so I can imagine hers will take a while as well. Paws crossed here. How is GG? AV, GREAT NEWS! Whoo hoo! You go get em!

Ohhhh, shopping time!!!!!
I had to go shopping yesterday to have something somewhat nice to wear to the office, too. I haven't gone shopping in SO long!MC, hope the poor doggie from work is found soon. Poor little thing! I love collies!
Still no word on OB's wife's surgery :(

Wow, GD, you are a whirlwind at that phone...40 calls! Good for you that some actually are paying off with appts too! AV, that is cool that the Realty company called you. Nice to know someone is interested in you even it it doesn't work out.
Need to go home and hug my cats after viewing the website of the cats and dogs scheduled to be euthanized on Wed. So sad! So many of them and so beautiful too. Just breaks my heart. Tears formed in my eyes and I had to get off of the webpage before I broke down and cried at work.

Well, by 3:00 it had been 7 hours and she was still in surgery. I texted him around 6:00 and haven't heard back :(
I hate that people don't pay! This woman was supposed to leave me money the first day I started and she forgot. Was going to leave me moeny today under the mat and she forgot! I'm still waiting on $70.00 from another job 2 weeks ago. That lady was supposed to leave moeny the first day, too and forgot. Haven't been around to pay me, either. Was going to mail it but as of today, I've still got nothing!!! Arrrrgh! I'm going to have to set an example at some point and tell them I'm not pet-sitting for them again!
A friend suggested I get some envelopes and stamps and prepare invoices in those to take to the house to leave for the clients if they don't leave me the money. I think that may be the way to go.GG is here right now but there are a lot of people around :(

Karin, they want us to make 50-100 calls a day, so my ear is pretty much glued to the phone. At least it paid off today. Hopefully some more people will have called back when I get in tomorrow.
WWM, I was so busy I didn't even have time to try and call my dad today. I would have had to go get a phone card for the international call and there just wasn't enough time in my dad.
I just got a text from OB - he said it was really rough today and wants me to call. I'm waiting for the new boss to leave so I can call him. -
GD, paws, whiskers, fingers, and toes crossed that all went well for OB and his wife!

Thanks, MC! I feel bad I'm not able to call him back. New Boss just left but I don't want to make the call right now and miss GG leaving and chatting with him. He should be out of here around 8:30 and then I'll give him a call. I hope to be able to call my dad tomorrow.
XBF is coming home tonight and will call me around nie. Arrrrgh! I need to go to bed!!! -
