The kid in question isn't really a kid--almost an adult and a sociopath to boot. It isn't a question about parenting. He is a monster and needs serious psychiatric help and medication--even then he will probably never be safe in society. He is a serial killer of cats and will eventually graduate to humans.
I am exhausted so I am heading to bed. Teaser is already cuddled on my comforter--she says it is sleepy time! A quick romp with Sherlock and slumberland here I come!!

You can't blame all working parents, I worked for my kids entire lives and none of my kids became serial killers of people or animals, they don't take drugs, they aren't the dredges of society. I personally know of some stay-at-home parents whose children are seriously out of control. It can happen to the best of parents as well as the worst, there are times that the kids just have another path no matter what society thinks. That is my only comment on this, down off the soapbox now.

Good night SM..sorry I missed you. AZDeb, both my parents worked from the time I was 9 but I turned out okay. No it is what is in the chemistry make up of the person's brain. Something gets turned off in Sociopaths so they do not feel empathy.
Max and Mystie must be delighted with the new cat condo! Wheeee! The cat toys I got from Mouchois have both cats delighted with them. The balls are what make my cats go nuts a little chasing and playing with them.
Well, the stupid painter guy was here from 6pm to 8pm using his painting machinery that made a vibrating noise as well as scraping the ceiling from time to time. I went down at 7:30 to ask how much longer and he rudely said to me 30 more minutes. I have a nice headache from it all. I don't understand why he has to be here after hours. If this is a second job then the management needs to hire a guy who is available during normal business hours so as to not impact the tenant. I wrote a two page letter to the owners letting them know of the rudeness and unresponsiveness not to mention attitude at tenant's requests from the new property manager and how it was unreasonable for them in light of all of the past three days not to mention some other issues, that they not raise my rent by $75 a month for a month to month agreement that I already currently have.
Sylvester is in a time out right now as he was playing in a pair of capris I left on my bed and I was playing with him and I put my hand underneath to lift him and he bit down hard enough to leave marks. He never bites this hard so I was surprised when he did this. Guess he got too excited with Mia playing with his paw hanging out of the bottom of the leg of the capris.

I admit that but some parents jsut don't seem to keept tabs on their children. My mom was a single parent! She worked graveyard shifts. When she got home she checked out homework and made of ucnhes for school. Before she went to work she sat down and got us started on our homework. Conferences, things that happened during he day when she slept she would take care of, tanne dour hides if she needed too. it's like that kid building boom's in his basement. The parents were clueless they said, well if they took the time to interact with their child instead of a boob tube well then that wouldn't hav e happened.
Azdebra your kids are probaby my age. It's the newer parents in the last our 10 to 12 years tat have gone into the crapper!

Hi, TDKers! Had a grueling hula practice tonight after a long day at work, but I'm now officially ON VACATION!! lol We will be leaving tomorrow for a few days in Sisters, Oregon to spend time with my sister, her husband and grown daughter, our daughter and her beloved. The ladies are takin quilting classes. The guys are going to hang out and do guy stuff. lol
I need to get organized for our trip. I plan to take the laptop so I will check in. :)

Evening everyone, trying to get ready for w**k. SMM, maybe he got a bit over-excited while playing and that is why he bit. KW have a wonderful mini=vaca in Sisters :) Waves @ jcat!
M2MC, yes my kids are your age and I did the same as your Mom except with being the single parent only when the kids were starting their teen years. Both of us were Army so we were working 10-12 hrs a day, but still did what you Mom did, and I was the one working the graves always. In the neighborhood I grew up in, the house 3 doors down fm my parents had an 18 yr old with severe elipesy (?) who DEA, FBI, local law enforcement found was making pipe bombs in their garage to sell to gangs....the parents, whom neither of them worked said they didn't know a thing about it, sigh....G'night and hope that you get to sleep well this evening.
