Just had to share this visual. My sons and I are in our study.
I am sitting on the very tiniest edge of this chair because Willow is resting comfortably behind me. My youngest son is sitting on the arm of a very comfy recliner as Mickey sleeps peacefully on it. My oldest son is sitting on the desk because Romeo is fast asleep on his chair. The other chair is also unavailable as Kara is stretched out grooming herself.
Any one else have this problem?

I didn't realize that you had a Willow, too,TL!!!!!
I wish that I had that problem but I have to coax the girls to sit with me. They want to be near us but not necessarily on us. Although, Willow did sit in my lap this morning to watch the Tour de France. She's not saying who her favorite rider is, but I'm pretty sure that it's Lance.

... LOL TL!.... visualize this ..... it occurs almost daily..... I get nestled in MY comfy chair to read...perfect reading light on....heating pad on the back, nice and warm.... Abby comes to join me at the bottom of the pull out - it's a LazyBoy recliner...... I read for about 15 min. then have to go to the bathroom.... I come back - Abby has completely taken my spot, her back comfy and warm against my heating pad......no amount of pleading will make her move, and if you touch her, she meows pittifully.... so I have to go sit on the couch to read, which I don't like because it's light isn't as good, and I can't stand to lay down to read, so I'm sitting there, fidgeting...... Hubbs comes home - peeks in the familyroom and chuckles!.....

Yes WWM, TDK's profile on Windi and Willow was the first post I ever made on The Daily Kitten; I think I mentioned my Willow then. But our Willow is a boy and his name came from sadness so I named him Willow after weeping willow; he has since brought me great joy and hence his full name now is Willow Blessing Lol

Fantastic visual. Thank goodness I'm not the only one to pander to feline wishes. Thankfully Shadz leaves the chairs alone mostly, it's our bed that we end up scrunched to one side of while she sprawls comfortably on the rest of it. Sometimes Mr MS even has to get out of bed so I can slip out his side and not disturb HRH.
I blame the cat really.Posted 2 years ago by Moonshadow_NZ #

Oh yes. Every night as Mr MCW and I cling to the sides of the bed, with 1 or 2 or sometimes 3 cats all sprawled luxuriously across the middle...

Cats have been doing this throughout history. Mohammad, they say, cut off the sleeve of his robe rather than disturb his favorite cat who was sleeping on it.
