  1. Good morning! Artemus and Guillermo are here this morning, making breakfast burritos with whatever you like: scrambled eggs and cheese, salsa, jalapenos (for those with iron tummies), onions, mushrooms...

The fresh-squeezed juice bar is also open. One kitty squirted herself in the eye with grapefruit juice, she's being tended by a handsome tuxie boy. The other kitties are busy juicing up oranges, pineapples, tomato juice...whatever you like!

Expresso bar is open, and a fresh pot of Jamaican Blue Mountain coffee is ready! Bessie the Cow has provided fresh, rich cream and butter for croissants.

    Dig in everyone!

  2. Yum, yum, hello Siobhan, what a lovely spread. I will have croissants, freshly squeezed OJ, apricot jam and milky coffee please. Mmmmmmmmm, nom, nom, nom.

  3. Good morning, Siobhan! Pass the orange juice and a calico for cuddling!
How are things going for you today?

  4. Good morning! I would love a breakfast burrito this morning - surprise me, Artemus and Guillermo, just make sure there's lots of cheese in there! A cool glass in pineapple juice would be fabulous! I think that kitty squirted herself on purpose; that tuxie boy is really quite handsome!

  5. Hey. Jcat, watch that apricot jam...it's on the side of your mouth. *passes napkin to Jcat*

  6. Hi, Joan!

Posted 2 years ago by LadyKat of IA #

  7. *Blushes*. Oh, I do beg your pardon. Thank you, LK.

Morning, Joan, you could be right, there's no end to the deviousness of kitties ;-)

  8. That little grey who squirted herself -has- been flirting with the tuxie, maybe her attention wandered from her grapefruit (lol)

Doing pretty well today, thank you LadyKat. How's everyone else?

  9. Morning, all! Yum, I'll take a breakfast burrito with scrambled eggs, sausage, cheese and green chile sauce.

Poor Georgie threw up his breakfast this morning; I think he just got too excited and ate too fast. I cleaned out his bowl and gave him a few crunchies, which he ate with no problem, then I waited a while to make sure things were OK and gave him some more. Poor kitty, but he got lots of scritches and attention, so he's fine.

I am OK, except that my evil headache is back :(

Beautiful day here in NYC, hope everyone else has a good day.

  10. Oh, poor Georgie! Jasper threw up this morning too, on the bed :( That got me up!

Sorry to hear about your evil headache, Kilroy... Hope you have some strong meds to deal to it.

  11. Tansey sometimes wolfs down her food without chewing, and then barfs it back up. We've learned to give her little spoonfuls of her Fancy Feast can at a time. She still scarfs it down like there's no tomorrow, but at least it's not as much quantity at a time. She's always had a delicate tummy, poor baby. She -never- poops a hairball, it always comes up the other way :-(

Posted 2 years ago by Siobhan #

  12. I do, Jcat, at least for now. The government is thinking about banning the med I take, though, because too many morons can't read and follow simple dosing instructions. So, because the morons have to be protected from themselves, people like me who are insanely careful might not have access to something that works. How's that for idiocy?

  13. Kilroy, where is the pain? If it's on the back of your head, down your neck, or around your eyes, try a warm compress. I like the Bed Buddy, or an equivalent. I made my own once, a tube of cotton fabric filled with flax (or brown rice). Then heat it for a minute to three minutes in a microwave, and it will hold its heat for up to thirty minutes.

I find the gentle heat very soothing when I get a headache in my temples or the back of my neck. And it smells good too, like freshly baked bread.

  14. Doing ok today. Nasty storm last night - did you get it too Kilroy? Scritches to George and Jasper too (ewww, on the bed!). Is there a TDK conspiracy? Leela threw up yesterday. Actually a few times this weekend but I think all the fireworks upset her.

Posted 2 years ago by JoanfromNewJersey #

  15. That's the kind of thing that drives me mad, Kilroy. Would you still be able to get it on prescription? The only thing that fixes my travel sickness is now only available by doctor's prescription and most chemists don't carry it. If I don't have it, I can't go anywhere more than an hour away unless I'm driving!

Awww, Leela. It's one of the few design faults in cats, I reckon, the ready-barf response...

  16. Good morning all. I'll have some Jamaican Blue Mountain coffee and croissants please. All Shadz did this morning was burrow deeper into bed and refuse to get up until way past 10 o'clock. Then I discovered I had forgotten to take the next container of her meat out of the freezer and she had to have tinned cat food. I wasn't popular this morning. She is outside at the moment having a last mouse hunt before coming in(I hope) for the night.

  17. Oh, MS, what our kitties have to suffer from their staff...

Posted 2 years ago by jcat #

  18. I think it must have rained last night, Joan; the streets were wet this morning, and worse, the tennis courts are closed (oh no!), but we didn't hear anything.

Awww, poor Leela. Give her some scritches from me, Joan, and a gentle headbonk from George.

Sio, my headaches start near the top of my head where my shunt is (I have hydrocephalus and have a shunt that drains fluid out of my skull). It's definitely aggravated by tension, though, and I'm always happy to try new ways to alleviate that part of it, so thank you for the suggestion.

  19. Good morning TDK friends, Siobhan the breakfast spread sounds delightful today. I'm glad to say that neither of my kitties barfed up anything today (so far anyway, LOL). Kilroy I hope you get to feeling better with your headache. Everyone have a great day or sweet dreams depending on which corner of the world you live in ;o)

  20. Jcat, the drug they're considering banning is already a prescription, but one of the ingredients is in a lot of non-prescription things as well, and people can take too much really easily by taking different meds for different things. Of course, this could be avoided by reading the ******ing labels, but I guess our govt. thinks that's too much to ask of people.

Sorry for the rant, but it took me a couple of decades to find something that actually helped my headaches, and the fact that it might be taken away because of other people's stupidity really ticks me off.

Posted 2 years ago by Kilroy #

  21. That's terrible, Kilroy. You'd think maybe the government could think about solving the problem by encouraging pharmaceutical companies to find an alternative for the common ingredient... since that's the actual problem!

Posted 2 years ago by jcat #

  22. BOY do I sympathize, Kilroy. Quick! Protect us from ourselves! We can't be trusted to accept personal responsibility! (sarcasm)

Sometimes I feel like collectively, we're being treated like kindergarteners again. Should we ban cars, because we MIGHT have an accident? Geez.

Posted 2 years ago by Siobhan #

  23. I guess Shadz still has some training to do, MS!
I suppose Leela wouldn't have been so scared if she had handsome George with her. Heard about the drugs too, Kilroy. It's people like that who are the reason there's a label on the hair dryer that says not to immerse in water, sigh.

  24. Yay! the dappled terror is inside and polishing the bottom of her plate. Time for me to hit the sheets, read a few pages of my book then hopefully Z.z.z.z.z.z.z.z.z.z.
Goodnight all, have a great day.
Jcat, sweet dreams and scritches to Libby and Jasper.
Deb, look after those fingers and don't w**k too hard, hope the body and head give you a break from pain today.

    Posted 2 years ago by Moonshadow_NZ #

  25. Kilroy I know you must be extremely frustrated and I agree with everything said above, we have become a "Nanny Nation"! And while they are busy over regulating everything under the sun like we have no sense, REAL problems remain unsolved. I saw on the news that Congress is investigating college football of all things, like they don't have anything better to do? I am really afraid for our country sometimes...

Posted 2 years ago by Annie R #

  26. Tee hee, really? Is there one on the television too (a label about not immersing in water, I mean)? I shouldn't laugh -- but do parents not teach these simple things any more?

Sweet dreams, MS, scritches to the dappled terror (tee hee). I need to disappear too. Deb, you promised you would go to the doctor if you still ached from your fall... hope it's not still bothering you.

    Have a great day, everyone.

  27. Hi to those I've missed this morning. And those that have aches and pains, I hope you can take care of yourself today. When you don't feel well, it's hard to do the simplest of tasks.
We had overnight rain here, too. And now the temps are rising again along with the humidity. Bah!
Gotta run...work to be done. Everyone have a good day (or evening)!

Posted 2 years ago by LadyKat of IA #

  28. Good Morning to all and good night to MS and jcat. Why is it that I do not seem to have any time to be on TDK anymore! I miss everyone.
Kilroy, I am sorry about your headache. I hope you feel better soon. ((hugs))
This afternoon, I have to take Abbie for her 6 month dr appt and she will get shots :( I hate that...

Posted 2 years ago by cricketsmama #

  29. Good Morning/evening ALL! No barfing here...not yet anyway :) Gizmo is in the tub drinking water from the faucet...just peaked in on him....his face is so wet...he is so silly when it comes to water :) I hope everyone's aches and pains diminish as the day goes on! Sure is dreary here now, don't know if it will clear or not, and it is still cold for "summer"!

Posted 2 years ago by katthays #

  30. Hi CM & KH! It doesn't feel like summer here either. The sun is shining, however!
