  1. Good morning all. I made the mistake of letting Sylvester out to wander the hallway at my apartment complex which he enjoys doing. Last night I let him out in the hallway but a neighbor came and that made Sylvester dive for the front door. So because his wandering was interupted, he thought he would keep trying to get me to let him back out. I went to bed and around 1:45am he was meowing loudly to be let out into the hallway. I said no to him firmly and he went to go sulk. Rough life eh Sylvester? I gave him lots of kisses this morning to reassure him that I still love him.

Right now I have the pleasure of listening to my cubicle mate slurping his cereal. He is such a noisy and disgusting eater! Growl.

Today is Mia's 2nd birthday. I gave her some cat treats and later will get her some roasted chicken. She is such a sweetie at times.

So with my feeling extra tired from being fully woken up by Sylvester, may I have a extra large cup of mocha and a bacon (extra crispy) and egg croissant sammich, thank you very much. I wish I was home so I could go back to bed. Temperatures are to be in the mid 70's today. We had fog this morning but as I drove to work the sun broke through.

  2. Just a moment to pop in before getting back to work after lunch break. We are getting the heavy rain now. I hope it stops before I have to make a dash to the car after work.

  3. SMM, I hope you grabbed a croissant sammich off the buffet and are fully caffeinated to face the afternoon. Maybe Mia will share the chicken with you tonight.....maybe.

  4. Hi, Everyone!

Late start for me today. I had to go to the grocery store and run a bunch of errands. And it's 105 stinkin' degrees outside! It feels like being out in a blow dryer. *wilt*

  5. Ugh, WWM. You should come to NYC for a visit; we're having fall-like weather today. Shall I open the wormhole?

  6. Its almost a tad chilly here today. People wore COATS to work today! Is it my computer or is anyone else having trouble with TDK in the last half hour?

    Posted 2 years ago by mollycat71 #

  7. Yes, open that wormhole! And with as much as I have sweated today I'm pretty sure that I can slide right on through!

I don't think that I'm having trouble, MC. But I just came back.

  8. Seems to be working OK here, MC.

WWM, wormhole stands open for your convenience. There's a pitcher of chilled martinis on the balcony, help yourself.

  9. OOOHHHH - chilled martinis??? Wonderful!

I still have to go out and feed the turtles, although i suspect that most of them will be buried in the flowerbed. They try to find a bit of wet dirt and then they dig a hole and settle in for a nap.

  10. WWM how many turtles do you have? I love turtles and tortoises

  11. We aren't totally positive, KK. But I believe that we have around 14. There are three babies in the flower bed, an adolescent and a teenager. Then we have all of the adult turtles. I've sort of lost count and I just feed whoever I can find! We have one that waits by the door for me every afternoon. After she finishes her first piece of melon she starts following me while I give the others their melon. We have one named Ray. He's blind and is named after Ray Charles. There are two females that are always in the same part of the flowerbed. Even though I give them each their own piece of melon, one of them will always drop hers in order to take the other one's piece away. They are so funny, really!

  12. Your turtles are sorta like cats, taking the others food!

  13. They have more personality than most people would think!

  14. I love that you have named them!

  15. Hi all!!! Almost done with Thursday and closer to Friday and the weekend!
Slept only from midnight til 6:00am so I was a bit tires today. Made about 15-20 calls at work, but didn't get any appointments :(
However, the one boss guy had a phone conference with someone I had set him up with and it went surprisingly well, so he was excited. Yay!
I really hope someone will call me back and set something up tomorrow, though!

I got home between jobs and decided it was time for a 45 min. nap. Got half-way through it when my phone started going off with a text message. I was annoyed til I saw it was from GG. That was around 3:30 and we've been texting on and off all afternoon :)

    How was everyone's day today?

Posted 2 years ago by GreatDane #

  16. YAY! It was GG! That would be worth waking up for! I hope you can get some sleep this weekend. I am exhausted and my computer is being a poop! I have posted several things on several threads and none of them have shown up! :( I am going to bed early tonight!

    Posted 2 years ago by mollycat71 #

  17. Sorry about your poopy computer, MC!
I'm tired, but going to the grocery store to get ingredients for making more turkey meat balls tonight - they're so easy! I'll get some chicken to make later, too.

Yay for GG! I was chatting with him for 20 minutes last night. I'd told him about the new job and then yesterday I was telling him about the weidr little new boss guy. I was in trouble with NBG last night so GG texted to ask if I still had a job.
Ironically enough - last night, NBG asked me to give him a tour so I did. He told me I "did pretty good". Today when I got in, EBL told me NBG had told her and BB that I did awesome last night giving him a tour! So I guess I'm back in the guy's good graces!

  18. Hi and bye MC!

Hi GD! That's terrific that you are "cooking" more, so you can eat better!

Posted 2 years ago by linda #

  19. It's pretty cool, Linda! I got the Redi Set Go oven and that's made all the difference. I try to cook a few different things a couple of days a week so I'll have something prepared to eat since I'm so busy. I really needed to get some protein into my diet, and this is perfect for that.

  20. The turkey meatballs were good, weren't they? I also picked up some more ground turkey and stuffing mix to make some more. The leftovers were really good cut up and put on the top of a pizza (with some onion)! I also tried the stuffed soup--not really to my liking and the leftovers went into the trash. Wasn't horrible, but all I could taste was the stuffing.

  21. That's exactly what I'm going shopping for. I ate them cold, too! I figured I can uuse them on sandwiches, too.

Posted 2 years ago by GreatDane #

  22. I ate a few of them cold, too! They'd probably be good in a pita with a little cheese, onion, and marinara sauce!

Posted 2 years ago by FondaHonda #

  23. Ohhh, that sounds good!!
I'm cooking them up right now :)
