   As I said in my intro post, I have three fuzzy kitties. Persephone was with my boyfriend before I met him, but she is an older (not super old, but getting there) tuxedo cat, gorgeous little girl. He got her from a rescue, she had had a batch of kittens but was then fixed and happy. We call her a crabby old lady but really she is loving and sweet, she just likes her occasional alone time. And she has no problem smacking the others around when they get too rambunctious.. normally she just loafs around but will pounce and chase and swat at the others when they get too crazy. She is probably 10-11 lbs and fluffy. She likes to play the "I'm ignoring you" game. Sephers loves to sit in windows and watch the world go by, and I'm pretty sure she'd kill any of us if we stood in the way of a sunbeam. She has one of the sweetest faces I have ever seen on a cat, she is just so lovely to look at!

   Noms (As in omnomnom) is one of the two cats we adopted after our cat Cleo passed away. He and his sister Dita were just a few weeks old when we got them, and almost completely feral. Noms would hiss and spit when you tried to pick him up, but once you got him in your arms he would bury his face in your elbow and try to hide. It was the saddest, cutest thing ever when we were picking him out. Since he was a tiny kitten he's had these huge, adoring eyes that make your heart melt when they look up at you. He is quite a porker, 15 ish lbs. After being socialized he became the. Most. Loving. Cat. I. Have. Ever. Met. He purrs almost constantly, loves to be held and snuggled, he loves to sit on laps and get petted whenever he can. He is also extremely trusting and FREQUENTLY rolls onto his back, and even sleeps like that. His weirdest quirk is his love of .. long thin things, mostly straws and pens. We started to notice a few months ago when we would discover our soda straws flattened at the ends, and none of us chew our straws. After a while we noticed it was him chewing on them when no one was looking! Noms loves to chew on the ends of pencils, pens, and paintbrushes. She also loves to find our pencil cup and pull out all the pencils and drop them on the floor, one at a time. He is amazing, I love him so much.

   Dita (As in Dita Von Tease) is Noms's sister, we adopted him at the same time as Noms. Dita is solid black except for a small white spot on her chest. She has large expressive yellow eyes that stand out starkly against her black fur. Dita too was feral and mean when we got her, and we joke that she still is, but she likes the pettins as much as the next cat. When she wants to be she is very sweet and adoring, she will sit in a warm lap for hours. Dita is EXTREMELY vocal and you can carry on a "conversation" with her for quite a while. She meows at everything for any reason, and sometimes nothing at all. One of her biggest quirks is her tendency to follow whoever is on the phone around the house and meow at the top of her lungs. Several times people I didn't even know on the other end of the line would say something like "So, you have cats?" and I'd have to explain. Dita is smaller and sleek, 9 lbs when they weighed her when she was at the vet last week to get fixed. She is very athletic and loves to jump onto high surfaces we don't want her to be on. She is a professional laser pointer chaser and loves to sit on tables and swat at people as they walk by.

    Welcome to TDK, Seedlet (which by the way is a very cute name!)! What a beautiful family you have there. I was so startled at seeing Dita's picture because she is the image of my Bombalurina who left us two years ago. Bomber was also the most vocal kitty that I have ever met.

    As to all the people who love Gingers, I am a ginger fool too. My first ever kitty was a ginger, he was 14 when he died and I was crushed. I Love ALL cat types, but I have a special place in my heart for ginger cats. Especially marbled gingers and ginger-and-whites. <3<3 anyone have one of those?

    I'm getting it all cut off on Saturday. It's just too hot and if I put it up any clip I put in it gives me a headache. It'll grow back, it's just hair. But I'm glad you like it.

    Have you ever noticed that curly haired people always like straight hair and straight haired people like curly hair? Why is that? LOL

    It's one of those weird bizarro things like food that tastes good is always bad for you - lol.

    The manfriend isn't happy about it but I told him he could take the cut off hair and make a weave out of it and wear it if it bothered him so much - lol.
