It's heartbreaking. Please consider even a small donation to help poor burned Hadley the creamsicle boy.

In honor of Alice in Wonderland and playing the duchess tomorrow at a tea party, I will have tea! I got my hat finished. It is really heavy so I need to get some combs and wire them into the hat to help it stay in place.

Good morning all. Glad to hear your foot is on the mend, Siobhan. Sorry you lost Sparky, Metsa. Hope you are doing well though.
:::whoosh....a big wind follows GD as she runs through the Cafe, grabbing food an drink on her way to work:::: That woman just tires me out reading about her day. We should nick name her the energizer bunny.
I went to two differnt stores trying to buy some roast chicken. The first store was out of the pre-made rosemary roasted chicken with wild rice that Mia likes so I went to Safeway and bought a chicken only to get it home and feel that it was cold. This was chicken that was sitting under a heat lamp but apparently only the wrapping was getting warmed. I threw the chicken out since it wasn't kept properly warmed.
I then went to Petsmart to try to buy a lickitty only to be told they only sell them online. So I ended up buying some Pounce chicken and cheese soft treats which Mia enjoyed. I gave a couple to Sylvester so he wouldn't feel unloved and he seemed to like them too. I am celebrating her birthday again today because the adoption agency put her birthday as July 9th and the vet who examined first examined her put her date as July 10th. Technically I say it is July 9th as that would be accurate with their stating she was 4 weeks old when found the first week of August 2007.

SMM, you should have taken the chicken back or call Safeway and get your money back on the chicken, if you kept your reciept they shouldn't give you a problem with that.
Have had a small stress issue this morning, looked at my online bank statement and found that someone had taken $670 out of my checking account. Talk about heart stopping, finally the bank figured out that a woman with my name walked into a branch without id, didn't remember her account #, and withdrew that amount.....now when I go into any bank or even on the phone they ask me for everything except in what position I was conceived and at what time of day! They didn't verify this woman's address, phone number, compare the signatures (which DIDN'T match at all) and gave her money from my account....supposedly they are fixing it now and taking it out of her account and putting my money back in, ARGH!!! Ok sorry needed to vent just a wee bit there, I just don't have that kind of money to give to someone just because.

Wow, AZdeb..I would close my account if my bank took money out of my account and gave it to someone without asking the person for an ID! Not asking for any sort of ID is very strange. Wonder if the teller knew the person and was in on this. Also, that is an odd amount and am wondering if they found a statement of your account in your trash? As a suggestion, you might want to shred all bank statements. How scary!
As for the chicken, I was so disappointed, I didn't think to take the chicken back to the store and my stupidity cost me $7. I have to say I am not happy with the Trader Joes and the Safeway in my area. Both are not run very well and run out of things I like more often then they should. Very frustrating!

Holy crow Deb!!!! That is ridiculous! and yes, mine asks for everything too, so I'd want to know why they didn't this time!
SMM...I think the next time you go to the Safeway, ask to speak to the manager and tell them what happened. Even if you don't have the receipt, I would hope they would do something! and now you've inspired me to do the same...I had one the same way from my Ralph's. I'm gonna say something to the manager too!
Hi Kilroy!

{{{{{DEB}}}}}} That is awful!
Hi, Everyone! I'm getting such a late start today looking at TDK. When I got home from the gym I made the mistake of sitting down to watch the Tour de France and of course I had to watch to the finish in the hopes that Lance would be wearing the yellow jersey today. Not today but maybe tomorrow.
We're having dinner guests tomorrow and so I've been in the kitchen cooking and trying to get a head start on things.
It is another blistering day here. 103 so far. Everyone is just sort of listless and tired from the heat.
Today is my sweetie's birthday!! I offered to make a really special dinner but he wants to go out. Somehow that makes it seem like I'm the one getting a present!

Good morning again! Back from my catnap and feeling somewhat fresh. Looks like today is going to be a good one. My injured male guinea pig is feeling much better, I was quite concerned but his wounds are healing and no sign of infection and today he hopped back onto his hidey house for the first time since he fought with the other male. Baby kitties are growing and turning into little piggies themselves! Up to 3 teaspoons per feed!
Now, if I could only get my babies of the human variety to behave it would be perfect!
<I'll take a mocha to go!> Have to run to my mom's house with my boys and the kittens (they go everywhere with me, as they should!)
We are also planning a short 4 day trip to the lake, and the kitties are coming too! Spoiled babies, vacationing when they are only going to be 4 weeks old.

It is! I am so glad we are out of the woods with Oreo, our GP, and that the kitties are thriving! Then again I spoil my furbabies completely, so that might have had something to do with it :) Don't tell the ladies on my Guinea Pig board, but I've been giving Oreo little bits of fruit every night when I clean his ouchies and put more antibiotic on (only supposed to feed fruit 1 time a week, maybe 2 if you are feeling generous).
Have a wonderful day! Prayers and thoughts for the kitties who are suffering and who have gone on to the Bridge, and for those loving gaurdians who care for them so.

Happy Purrday Mr. WWM! Is he 16 today or 21? Well I had an interesting day today. Had a lunch meeting thingee with a guy who is an electric wheelchair salesman. Our office manager set it up. She told me "he is really cute" but I took that with a grain of salt because she comes from Serbia and we have very different tastes in what "cute" is. I tripped over my own two feet when I saw him, he was really CUTE! Oh my gosh, I was like a teenager back in middle school. I couldn't talk. The other girls I was having lunch with were dropping hints to him that I was single and trying to get out of him personal information. I do know he is single, been in town two months, knows "no one", and used to play semi pro hockey up until two years ago. I was tongue tied and hardly said a word. After he left we starting drawing up a list of people we want him to help with wheelchairs so I have an "excuse" to call him next week! How silly of us!

Hmmmmmmmmmm, a hockey player with teeth. I'd think that either he was a very good hockey player, or he was awful and sat on the bench. . . ;)

they may not be his real teeth! could be implants, they were almost too perfect
