  1. Hi to everyone. I love kitties and am so glad there's a site like this one!!! I have a 4 year old cat, her name is Katie that we rescued from a farm, she showed up there after a tornado at only a month or so old............we're lucky we found eachother, I had just lost my Brandi after 17 years and was still grieving, but Katie helped with that, her first night with me she slept on my head, right where Brandi had for years, as if she knew that spot needed to be filled. She's definitely a whole other personality though.

  2. Hi, Katibug's momma. Welcome to TDK! What a wonderful story of the way Katiebug came into your life. She sounds like a miracle kitten. Many of us have photos of our cats on webpages at Catster.com. I hope you will create a webpage there for Katiebug and link it to your screen name here. (It's free.) If you'd like to see my two cats, click on my screen name and it will take you to their pages.

I look forward to getting to know you and to hear more stories about Katiebug!

  4. Welcome Katiebugsmomma...How very sad to lose Brandi...she was no doubt a longtime best buddy...but how wonderful God works his mysterious blessings when he brought Katie to you! Maybe Brandi had a paw in it along with him so you'd not be alone! Who knows, eh? Welcome aboard...you'll find this group of TDKers are so loving and genuinely caring. I've been very welcomed myself and after only 3 weeks into my membership I can't imagine how I ever did without them! Hope you stick with us....Oh...I have 4 kitten sibblings and two elder dogs (and one hubby) and we get more chuckles and tissue alerts from this site in one day than we ever got before in a month.

  5. Welcome, Katiebugsmomma--I lost my beloved Spanky after 16 years and had never lost anyone close to me. I didn't know how I'd get through it, but I did. Bosley came into my life a few months later and he does some of the 'strange' things that Spanky used to do---including lick Carmex off my lips (the 1st time he did this was on the anniversary of Spanky's death). No one can replace the late, great Spanky, but Bosley sure has won me over. Isn't it amazing how things happen just when we need them to? Welcome, and I look forward to getting to know you better

  8. Hello katiebugsmomma, welcome to the best site on the net! I'm so happy you joined us and also that you have your Katie. Katie kitties hold a special place in my heart as my Katie kitty was my absolute best friend for 10 years. I still miss her terribly. I love all of my seven furr babies but no one will ever hold the place in my heart that she did. I wish you such a friendship with your Katie. Please do put her up on Catster, we would all love to see her.

  12. To all of you, thank you so much for your warm welcome! I look forward to getting to know you all! Katie is definitely a special kitty. I'll get a good pic of her on catster for you. She's a medium to long haired, gray and black striped girl.Green eyes. We have no clue who her biological parents were, she just showed up at this farm, along with several other cats and kittens after a tornado hit Hallam,NE, about 4 years ago. The lady at the farm was fostering them and put an add in the paper that my partner saw. I had been crying for about a week after I had to have Brandi put down. Brandi was 17 and had kidney failure. My dear sweet first feline companion. Anyway, my partner must have got tired of me crying and said lets go to this farm to see their kitties, we'll just look and see............of course I couldn't even think of getting another cat, had vowed to never have another because my heart was broken, but then I saw this little girl and I was taken. She was pretty wild little thing and it took some extra tlc to get her to warm up and feel safe again. She is so wonderful, and I do think Brandi had a paw in it all, how else would Katie have known to sleep on my head! Very glad to meet you all! Have a great Thanksgiving!
