Ahhhh - there she is! Hi MC!
The drink turned into a couple. GG was having car trouble so we went to a pub close to his house and he walked there to meet me. OB's daughter had a friend sleeping over, so she didn't care that I wasn't around. We talked and talked and finally got kicked out when they closed at 2:00. Drove GG home and came in for a beer and hung out for a while watching a movie.
The evening went really well! Except for a longish hug when I left, though, nothing happened. I'm thinking he probably just wants to be friends?
He texted me this morning to tell me he had a great time last night and to make sure I'd gotten to OB's in one piece. -

If you are both shy a hug could be a good thing! I don't like guys who get too touchy feely initially. I think its sweet!

Other than being frustrating, the guy is really nice and we have a good time together. Never lacking something to talk about or laugh at. He asked me a bunch of questions about myself, my jobs, my pet-sittng, growng up in Denmark, tennis, etc. throughout the night, too.

YAY - I like good signs!
His place was nice too. He and his brother are renting a house together. Nice and clean - not like a bachelor pad at all.I need to get done with OB's kid soon so I don't have that to try and fit in with everything else in my life right now. GG asked me how many hrs. I'm working right now and i told him 60. He seems very interested in whether I'm going to pick the new job or the phone job. At least now that I've been seing him outside of the gym, the thought of losing touch with GG doesn't have to be added to my qualms about quitting the gym job.
OB texted me that they're switching tonight and he's staying home and the daughter is sleeping at the hospital with her mom. Yay - I get a night at home!

Hi all, just popped in to say Hi. I dont post often but do check the kitten pictures as ofen as I can. So much has happened in the year it has been crazy. Had to put my mom in a nursing home so now I have her the care of her 5 cats, they are older cats but doing well. Had to have my horse put to sleep she was 28 years old had her for 25 of those years. (my horses picture in on the bottom of Kockas profile on catster) More then half my life I had that horse tore me up but it was the right thing to do the vet said it was time and she was in pain arthritis bad and was very lame. So just hought I would stop by today so you all knew I was still around just lerking in the shadows...lol

Hi Athena! You snuck in! Wow, you have been thru a lot. Sending hugs and positive energy your way! It is nice to know you have been "lurking" in the shadows, keeping up with us. Off to church again now. It's time to go to Evensong. It's not choral today, just 4 hymns, psalm and canticles done to chants, not special settings and ferial responses. We have a short practice to learn the chant for the psalm at 5.45, and we look at any unfamiliar hymns at that point too.
After practising the service is at 6.30, so I should be back home by 8.00.

.... popping in to say hi! back from family church and the kids are packing to go back to college.... great weekend, but I hear the couch calling me .... Hubbs likes to watch the golf tournament, while I read in my comfy recliner..... a lazy Sunday afternoon!.... check in later.....

Hi, Everybody! Gosh, I'm just skidding in and it's almost time for the NS! I am SO tired! Today we drove the course that Mr. WWM will ride next weekend for the 150 mile ride. It meant driving a little over 200 miles and of course he wanted the top down on the Miata. It's like 100 degrees outside!! You wouldn't believe how long it took to get the tangles out of my hair! I am really awfully worried about him doing this ride. The course is very hilly and it will be 75 miles each day next weekend. I'm just not really certain that he is ready for that.
GD, I think it all sounds great with GG. But maybe he wants to take it slow and really develop a relationship, you know? Be patient!

I'll be patient. He just texted me and told me he took a nice long nap. I wish I had time for a nap! I asked if he could drive me home from thegym tomorrow night. Haven't heard back.
WWM, how about getting an extra cell phone before the big ride next weekend so you can stay in touch?

Oh, I forgot to tell y'all! We did go to Wal-Mart yesterday and we got a Track (?) phone and minutes so that I will have a phone next weekend when he's gone. Just in case! And he will leave Hallie, our GPS, in the SUV with programs to get to the various rest stops on the ride in case I have to go and get him. I would only have to tell Hallie and she would take me there.
