  1. I printed out the RIP Bones thread for Mum, and gave it to her today. She read everything through very carefully, with the odd comment (Kilroy, she loved your description of the original Kilroy!) and was so pleased she had something she could keep. She was really touched that people she doesn't know would be so caring and sensitive - and really pleased to hear about Rainbow Bridge, I'd mentioned it to her of course, but she's always had belief that animals went to a beautiful garden to wait for their owners, so this meant a great deal to her. She loved all the poems and Emma's story (that made me and Chris cry Emma!) and was especially pleased by Puddytat's post about making a donation to a local animal group in Bones' memory.

So, a huge thank you from Mum and of course from me. This is truly a fantastic and special little community :o)

  6. What are 'family' for MCW. I am pleased that hearing about The Rainbow Bridge meant so much to your Mum. I have printed off Mitzi's thread and will show it to Mum too. She is dropping little hints about another cat but then talks herself out of it. I'm working on her. Mum has been telling her friends about The Rainbow Bridge and now the lady who runs the cattery we use also knows all about it as Mum showed her the story about The Bridge.

  7. I'm so glad to hear that she liked the thread, MCW, and that I could make her smile a little. Hugs to you both.

  8. Hugs to you MCW and Mum. Abbey is here for a visit. I told her about Bones and she sends hugs and thoughts. Her kitties had to come to College Station to see the vet. All is well. Wilbur and T-Do are not thrilled to have George, Nicky and Nora here. They came on Friday...by Saturday most of the hissing had stopped. Now they are just ignoring each other. Please tell your Mum that we are thinking about her and of course you. I will include you all in my prayers and have happy thoughts for you. Hugs, love, purrs and head bonks.

  10. Bless both Mum's on this heart wrenching part of dealing with the bridge crossings. And both MCW and MS's families for being there and the support needed .

  14. Jenn, I am so glad your mum liked the writings about the Bridge! Please give her a big hug from all of us. And if you would like, I will put together my scribblings about the Bridge and give it to you when we meet up in September.

And tell your mother that Bones as happy now as he was when your mother held him in life -- which is the happiest he could ever be.
