*sigh* Just cleaned up the second puddle of kitty yak for the day, thank goodness for hardwood floors. I don't know what triggered the first one, but the second was definitely from chewing on a plant in the bedroom. I think the bedroom door better stay shut while I'm at work.

Good Morning, Afternoon and Evening my friends.
GD, that stinks about the car..we need them so much to get around and when they need fixed it's so hard.
Night MS!! Congrats again for Meegz
jcat, Happy Anniversary to your parents! How wonderful that they are married that long, you never hear about that these days.
Kilroy, glad hubbs got off okay and Go get that bag Georgie..get it good.Is it too early for a pina colada? I have to vent a bit...I am tired and cranky today..we all went to bed late, the girls just wouldn't go to sleep at their bedtime, then we found out Maddie had a huge splinter in her foot and it took both of us to work it out, she was crying and so scared, but we finally got it. So needless to say it was late..I woke up early to a chubby cat being very obnoxious in my ear and I could have slept in a bit more...so by waking me up I started sneezing and then Abbie woke up in her room, so I had to go give her the pacifier to calm her, she was still 1/2 asleep, then I come downstairs, Maddie woke up about 20 minutes later and she is all whiny. She wants waffles for breakfast so I start making them hoping that will make her better and then Wayne comes down and wants to talk about his dream and all I can think is go shower, I am busy, I am crabby, I want to go to bed. As I am making the waffles, Abbie wakes up so I give the waffle to Maddie, run upstairs, get Abbie, give her a bottle, go to finish more waffles, then get Abbie's oatmeal and fruit, start feeding her, clean Maddie off after eating. Try to get a waffle for me while feeding Abbie and then Maddie wants to play tea party....Meanwhile Wayne is showering planning his escape to work. Just one of those days.... sorry to vent...had to complain to someone ..lol
Once nap time comes, I will be better...4 more hours...4 more hours....Posted 2 years ago by cricketsmama #

Ya know, I'm not driving the busses, I'm just sitting at a computer working on the software part of transportation. I could really go for a big mimosa; mostly champagne with just a splash of oj. Oh and I would love a croissant today too.

lol Kilroy..that's all in the span of 2 hours...can't wait to see what the rest of the day holds.
Wayne would freak out if he had to deal with what I do on a daily basis..When I go shopping and he has difficulty dealing with the aspects of handling 2 kids...got to love him. His patience level is zero to none.Posted 2 years ago by cricketsmama #

I'm feeling really down today. Today is the 3 year anniversary of a very good friend's death. She was only 17. A truck was coming at her, she swerved to miss it and went right into a tree. She was on life support for almost a month and it was a fighting battle and looking good; she was wiggling her toes and her reflexes were coming back. Then she contracted pneumonia and it got the best of her. I used to work with her three times a week. We worked in a daycare with children. She was always so funny, sweet, patient, and full of life. I miss her so much.

.... (((Gini)))..... my daughter (18) lost a good friend last year in an auto accident..... the whole high school had a major wake up call.......she was really effected by it - kinda made her "fearful" of leaving home in a way.....
CM! whew! I'm with Kilroy - just reading about your morning makes me tired! LOL.......*dials Sven and sends him to CM's house*....... *tries Hazel, but of course SHE doesn't answer*!
.... looks like today will FINALLY be a sunny day! maybe I can get Abby in her stroller this afternoon for a nice walk - trying to keep up with the healthy/exercise thread......

Morning/Almost Afternoon to Everyone! I got a very early start to the campground this morning, so I am done for the day already! YAHOO! Sure wish I was in the mood to clean :) It is cloudy here and too cool for the likes of me! LOL, CM....I don't think many Dads know what a Mother's day entails!!! I am sorry about your friend, Gini....being so young even makes it sadder, I think. Congrats to Meegz!!!

Good morning, Everyone! I am only just arriving only to see that I was the subject of your .... err.... attention this morning!
Ha, ha, ha, ha!!!! The Stinkin' French are celebrating Bastille Day today but a Brit won the stage at the Tour de France!!!!! Rule, Britannia!
When I was young I thought that we were of French descent (thank goodness I was wrong) because of my maiden name. I thought that it sounded French. Then much later I discovered that the name is of Lebanese descent! Well, that would explain my very boring brown eyes.
In celebration of a British stage win today, may I please have a cup of tea and a scone with clotted cream and jam?

Gini, I am sorry about your friend. Sending you some consoling hugs.
CM, wow..you are one superwoman when it comes to all you do. You and GD wear me out just reading about your day. Sending some hugs your way too.
Kilroy, that is so cute Georgie is killing a paper bag. Mia loves it when I crumple up a small amount of paper into a small ball and she will attack, toss it around and of course "kill it". Hope George is feeling better after the second yaak attack.
WWM, I am sorry but I have French heritage on my Grandmother's side (my Dad's mother). I guess that might be where I get my love of food from. We traced the French side of the family back to the 16th century. Interesting stories on that side too. Ironically I was reading about Julia Child article in Vanity Fair last night. I didn't know she was 6'2" and didn't get married till her 40's. Interesting info on her. I look forward to the movie about her with Meryl Streep playing Julia Child. Should be a good one or I am hoping it will be.
It is going to be another hot day here. Temps are suppose to be in the high 80's to low 90's. Feral will be in the 100+ temperature. They have a spare the air day which is suppose to encourage people to take public transportation and not drive but it was apparent that no one was taking notice as the highway was quite busy and slow today. My commute took longer than normal. So in light of the heat and it being Bastille Day, I would like a nice tumbler of chilled French Champagne (Tattingers or Veuve Cliquot would be nice), a separate glass of chilled fresh squeezed oj along with a chocolate filled croissant, a slice of quiche lorraine warmed up, and some fresh fruit compote with yogurt. After all that I will need a nap.

Aw, Gini that sure is rough! I lost a friend due to a car accident when we were 16. I think it was especially hard as she was going to be our valedictorian and was not only brillant but a dear friend to anyone and everyone. There is so much promise in one so young and it seems so cruel that God calls them home so young. Please take some hugs today, you need them!

Yeah, she was a great person. She got wonderful grades and she was in a leadership program she went to every week and she worked with kids and she went away to retreats to help people build houses and worked a lot of volunteer work. She was so young and touched so many peoples lives. I'm sorry for your loss too

Had a nice nap now it is time to figure out supper. UGH! I am really not good friends with veggies and need to incorporate more into my diet. I could eat fruits until the cows came home but veggies, no way! Is anyone having anything good tonite???

aw... MC! together, you and I might be the "perfect" eater!..... I absolutely adore veggies, but have to force feed myself fruit!.....
..... do you know how to cook your veggies so they are flavorful and yummy?... bland veggies are "ick"......
... my problems with fruit is typically they taste sweet to me, and I DO NOT like anything sweet tasting!.....

AV, we make the purrfect person! I have tried to "spice up" my veggies but they are still so bitter to me!

Actually that is a great idea! I like the low sodium (yes WWM!) version so that is a thought. I should put that on my grocery list!

Thanks AV! I love those new frozen veggies you just throw in the microwave but those get old REALLY FAST!

Yay - low sodium V8!!!!

Thanks for the idea Kotek. I love veggies but I just don't seem to eat enough of them. A low sodium V8 hopefully will help.
I think I have upset my cubicle mate. He eats his breakfast in the mornings and makes loud slurping noises. This morning, I said to him, are you eating another mango and he said no and now he won't talk to me or even barely respond to a question I ask of him. So either I am suppose to put up with this noise or he acts childish. I have 45 minutes to go and this day has just dragged! Frustrating with going around and asking people for things to do. Arrrggghhh!
