  1. Well, folks, things were looking bad last week for my sweet Mia, who foiled Raccoons, Coyotes, and Life in The Bad Greenbelt to finally go live with my friend from work and her boy kitty, Mr. Saucer. Mia turned up with abcesses from tussling with Saucer, and my friend was really afraid it wasn't going to work out.

However. . . She came to work today with a phone full of photos of Mia looking sleek, healthy, happy. . . and rump to rump on her bed with Mr. Saucer, like a pair of bookends! She says they keep her up at night playing hide 'n' seek.

Love to everyone who rooted for Mia, one of my precious Bob's "babies."

Now, I pray that someone can take your poor little Madonna.

  16. Yes, that sweetcakes needs a spot to call home. I've been by to see her and Trixie. I'm not so concerned about them getting food (lots of lizards and shrews) as I am them finding clean water.

Anyone up for a neutered cutie of a calico with a tiny black dot on her white upper lip?

  17. What happy news about Mia and Mr. Saucer. I knew that eventually she would warm up to that dashing young man with the very cool name.

  18. I hope we can figure out how to get the photos off the phone and onto a computer so you can see them. They're great pictures. My friend also reports that Mia has found her way to the top of the fridge. Living full time inside apparently came naturally, as I suspected it would.

  19. Funny, but cats seem to take so readily to indoor living. But what's not to love? Climate control, hot and cold running food, solicitous servants all around, and constant amusement.

Someone should ask Hopper if he ever wants to return to the great outdoors.

(Having read the above, I've decided I'm coming back as a cat!)

  20. Emma, I have long declared that I want to come back as a housecat. Preferably a TDK housecat.

  23. Great news Lisa! Mia is no dummy.

LMAO @ Emma. I don't even recognize Hopper as he use to be. He is a major talker. And when I let him out for his excercise time,he insists I lay on the couch for awhile. He jumps up & smashes his face into mine while purring. He stays there w/his face about (& I'm not kidding you) a half inch from nose...& has even kissed it a few times. This is a cat that was major feral at one time.

I sure hope you can find a loving home for Madonna. I'm sure she would love it indoors as well.
