  1. I told her that I was splitting up the business. She was agreeable with my terms, and we are going to meet up at the bank tomorrow. She is bringing her husband (who she still swears I was sleeping with) as her witless...er I mean witness and I will be bringing a friend from church - the one who will be working with me from now on, although Teresa does not know that she will be working with me.

Please pray that all goes well.

  3. Crossed fingers. I still think I'd add in the Bank Notary.

  4. If I could afford something like that, I would. As it is, every dollar counts considering I will only be making around $150 a month until things pick up with the housecleaning.

  5. OW, most banks offer Notary service for free to their account holders. If you are meeting at the bank which is where you have an account, either personal or the business account, perhaps you could get the agreement notarized for free or a very small nominal fee of about $10?

  6. I cannot even afford $10. The way things are right now, I need to get some groceries but I don't even have the money for the dollar store - and chances are it will get worse before it gets better. I doubt that the bank will provide notary service for free. This bank does not give away anything for free.

  7. Good luck. Yes, you are in for some rough times but I'm willing to bet you will be able to build your business up far better without Teresa than you've been able to with her. Stay safe.

  8. {{{OW}}} Hope everything goes smoothly today. Remember, we're all there with you. You are going to be so much better off without Teresa around. Just watch, good things are going to start to happen now, because you're making them happen.

  19. after she signs the paper work go to the business office at your school OW and ask about notory services there. Most schools provide that service free for thier students. MY college also had free legal council for students if they needed it. If it gets really contentious look into services provided by your school since you pay for them through your fees anyway. BTW dont forget to tape the meeting for evidence purposes if she decides to become contentious later.

  22. We will be meeting in a couple of hours do get the paperwork signed. I am half jumping for joy and half scared to death about how the meeting will go. Hopefully it will be done and over with quickly. Hopefully there will be no problems deciding who gets which houses and hopefully there will be no problem with the bank account.

  25. Most states set a fee for Notary service--here it's only $2, but banks do it for free if you have an account.

  26. TKN's right, the school will probably provide a notary service for free. Pretty much all schools usually have a notary on premises as they need to notarize records and certs. If they don't have one on premises they probably have someone they regularly use.
