  1. Hello fellow TDK'ers. Hope all are well. Today is a somber day as our dear Ginger is having to let her Redford go to the bridge. The kittehs at the cafe are sad and would like to snuggle with you. Think of Ginger and Victor today please. We still have the lovely flowers on the table from Meegz Champagne Brunch yesterday! They are stunning! The buffet is loaded and ready to go. There is plenty of coffee and tea. Join us for a lovely breakfast. Hope you have a great day. I am off to work again and then to the neurologist this afternoon. :)

  2. Goodmorning MC. It is a sad day for Ginger and Victor. I'll cuddle as many kitties as want cuddles.
Good luck on your neurologist visit MC.

  3. Morning MC & MS. It will be sad for Redford to cross the bridge, but also he will go in peace in the arms of his loving hoomins.

  4. MC, hope that the appt with the neuro doc goes well and he tells you that you are doing just dang ducky!

  5. Morning/Evening, MC, MS and Deb. I feel so sad for Ginger and Victor, but if I were Redford, I cannot think of a better way to go, when my time comes and I am too ill and exhausted to enjoy being here any more, than to go peacefully to sleep, surrounded by loving arms and voices. {{{Ginger and Victor}}}

MC, I hope the neurologist's visit goes really really well. Go get 'em, Miracle Kid!

  7. I always cry when one of our TDK family has to say goodbye to their beloved kittehs. Same for today. I could use a soothing kitty to wipe away my tears.

  8. Hi, Siobhan. Kitties are very good for that.

  9. Oh my, just scrolled across the bottom of CNN Live, a 5,000 lb shark washed up on the New York shoreline....now that would be a shock to the system to see that. Ok it was actually the Long Island shore.

  10. Good Morning, Afternoon and Evening friends.
Just getting the day started here. Just fed Abbs her bottle and going to go make her some cereal and fruit. Maddie is just waking up..I can hear her babble in her room now.
Glad all of our NZ friends are okay from the earthquake.
Hugs and prayers to Ginger, Victor, Mitzi and Redford as Redford makes his final journey. I relive what I had to go though with Bastian and it just tears me up when someone has to go through this again.
Off to get Maddie up and make breakfast, I shall return soon I hope.

  11. Morning, all! I'm sad for Ginger and Victor today, if there's a smallish kitten that would like to snuggle and cheer me up it would be welcome.

I met a friend after work last night, someone I hadn't seen in 25 (or more) years. It was really nice catching up. Poor Georgie, though! Mamma was *so* late getting home to give him his dinner. Maybe that's why he didn't eat any of it. I found a note on the table from our down-the-hall neighbor saying she stopped in to play with him during the day, which is a relief to me; I don't want him to be lonely all day.

  12. Morning, Kilroy, I think we're all feeling that way.

Aww, that was nice of your neighbour. I bet Georgie enjoyed that!

  13. Georgie loves his Auntie Ina :) She's the one who got him a nifty toy mouse for St. Patrick's Day, which he loved so much we think he ate it!

  14. Hee hee hee, oh, Georgie!

  16. I am so happy our kiwi's are safe! I just was watching a clip on the news. I started a thread for today for those of us who have decided to make our lives and eating healthier. Wasn't sure what to call it so I called it "Healthy Lifestyles". I just got a real butt chewing and I want to cry. I was being an advocate for a patient and was told I was just trying to waste money! $$$ My only saving grace is that I know I was right. That gives me peace.

  17. I'm heading off to bed now, Shadz has just come inside from a late mouse hunt and I can hear her lapping up her milk. I'd better claim my half of the bed before she does.
Jcat sleep well when you get to bed and everyone else have a good day.
Thinking of Ginger and Victor. I hope Mum's Mitzi will be at the Bridge to welcome Redford when he gets there along with all our other furkids.

  18. Nite MS and stay safe! No more quakes please!

  19. Hey today is my anniversary! 9 weeks ago today the Miracle Kid had brain surgery! Whoooopeeeee!

    Posted 2 years ago by mollycat71 #

  20. {{{MC}}} That stinks about getting yelled at, but yay for your anniversary! Things are just going to keep getting better and better, I'm sure.

I am SO sleepy today. I think that getting up at 3 am to see Mr. K off yesterday, combined with going out for after-work drinks really caught up with me.

Georgie is being so good, though! I was afraid he was going to be mad at me because his favorite hoomin isn't here, but he's being really sweet.

  21. Happy 9 week anniversary MC! A toast to your continued amazing recovery. (hic)

  22. Good morning, all! Sad day today, saying goodbye to handsome Redford! Big Red was one of the first kitties I "met" here. I remember RW having entered him in a cat of the month contest and I remember voting for the handsome boy every day.

I got paid a few days early from the new job so I'm going to go pick up my cr this morning. They fixed the belt and the other "thing" that broke. Not the water pump, though, which they say can go at any time. I'm nervous about driving the car like that - I drive 80 miles every day!
Anyway, a friend/pet-sitting client just wrote to me on Facebook that she has an extra car I can borrow. I'm going to call her today and talk to her abou it. I can't get the pump on mine repaired until a little over two weeks from now when I get paid again (it's another $700!) so if I could drive Beth's car in the mean time, that would be great!

  23. Nighty-night, MS, sweet dreams, hope you don't get shoved over in bed by Miss Mousebreath :) Chat tomorrow!

MC, that really stinks! {{{MC}}} As if ANYONE these days would try to waste money! If I were a patient I would DEFINITELY want you as my advocate. Don't cry, just think that right now, all over the world, people are disgusted with said butt-chewer's attitude and wanting to yell right back at them -- and he/she doesn't even know it -- but you do. :)

  24. Morning all!..... NZ rocks! (literally)!..... glad you all are ok!.....

got a busy day ahead of me..... going to "listen" to a guy that wants to hire me.... we'll see...

.... MC, you were only doing what you felt was right..... you should never appologize for standing up for what you believe in..... you go girl!......

... hugs for Ginger and Redford.....

... GD, hope you have a good day and your car gets fixed soon!

Posted 2 years ago by AV #

  25. Good morning. So sorry to hear about Redford. Most of us can relate to the pain of that.
MC, wow...nine weeks. You have done great!

Posted 2 years ago by LadyKat of IA #

  26. Break a leg, AV (figuratively speaking), we're all cheering for you! Hope it's an offer you can't refuse, wouldn't that be nice :)

Sorry, GD, you snuck in when I was typing. That's so nice of your friend! I will keep my fingers crossed that your water thingy stays good until you can get it fixed!

Hi, LK, it is a sad day.

Posted 2 years ago by jcat #

  27. I like that, Jcat :) See, MC? You've got a whole planet of people on your side. What's the stupid yeller got? Pffft, nothing.

Posted 2 years ago by Kilroy #

  28. Exactly!

Time I toddled off to bed, now that the tsunami warning's been cancelled, we can all rest safely in our beds :) Apparently the quake was centred around Fiordland, where there are lots of birds and reptiles and dolphins and things but not too many people, so we were a bit lucky this time. Have a great day, all!

  29. Good morning all my TDK Friends, I lit a candle yesterday for Redford, what a sad thing to face, I've been there myself and it's heartbreaking.

Congratulations on your 9 week anniversary MC/MK!!!! Hope you Dr visit goes well....and don't worry about getting chewed out, as someone else here has said, I would want you in my corner if I was a patient. In our healthcare system, doing the right thing for a patient is considered wasting money by the beancounters that run the hospitals, insurance, etc. Don't get me started on that one!!!

I didn't even know there was an earthquake in NZ till I came here to the chat room, I'm glad that all of the NZ TDK friends are safe.

I hope everyone has a good Wednesday, purrs to you all.
