I'm going to be out for Mr. L.'s dental surgery, tomorrow and Friday. I won't have access to a computer during that time, so I'll check back in on Monday.

Things did go well over the weekend. Mr. L. was scheduled to have five teeth surgically removed, which he did. After removing one of the teeth, though, the oral surgeon found that the one next to it was very loose and he pulled it out with his fingers--no charge. So Mr. L. had 6 teeth removed and now has only 4 left.
Mr. L. is resting, asking for assistance and service, and expressing gratitude for it more often than usual. In all, things went pretty smoothly.
A man from the church is staying with him today, to give him his pain meds and bring him food.

I wish that his behavior toward you would remain, but I really do not trust him to continue to treat you with the respect you deserve. I am praying that you can continue with ridding yourself of this albatross. I understand your beautiful and loving heart, but I fear for your safety--both physical and mental.
