I would also like to express my pride in my great-nephew, Matt. He just turned 20 years old and this Saturday is graduating from Fire School. He now is an official fireman! He has worked hard for this since graduating high school. He has been working for a fire department the last 6 months and just loves it!!

Ooh, ooh, good morning, CM. I have been very good today -- planted about 125 daffodil bulbs and then spent this evening untangling a very burbly technical paper so I feel in need of bulk doughnuts! Of course, it is not a patch on your hectic life as mum of two little ones, but it was quite hard work for me!
How are you today?
-
((jcat)) I have tried to plant flowers..I think I would rather chase after the girls...lol. Daffodils are so pretty too!
*hand jcat a hulking plate of doughnuts*I am good. Slight headache..took some meds...other than that really well thanks.

Morning CM & Jcat!........ nice to see you opening up today CM, I'll take a chorizo omelete please and a large glass of passion fruit (you can leave the vodka out, since it's 7am!)
Glad all you Kiwi's are ok, earthquakes are scary - being in Fla. I can't even imagine what they must be like ...... all I know here is hurricanes!
-
Hi CM and Jcat! Concats to your nephew Matt. Firemen are such special people. I'll take some coffee, cheese, onion, bacon omelet and toast. How's the girls, Wayne, your world????

hi AV and SOM!!!
*passes plates to AV and SOM*
I lived in S. California for Years and whoo, earthquakes can be a bit unnerving :)
Everyone and everything here is good SOM. The girls are getting so big and Abbie is sitting on her own!!! She does topple a bit here and there, but she does so well. Maddie is just wow, she amazes me. We are trying potty training, slowly, but at least we are working on it now. I told Maddie if she wants to go to school like Elena and draw, run, color, paint, play, she needs to be a big girl and go on the potty...she seems to like that idea.I have to give Matt credit, some of the things he has already seen, would have made me weep. I don't know how our medical, fire, police deal with some of the things they know and see in the world.

Good morning, all!
My Georgie is being so good!! I was afraid that he would be upset with Mike being gone, but he's being all sweet and affectionate. This morning he was rubbing around my legs while I ate my cereal, and he only does that with Mike normally. We've been playing "chase the bouncy ball" and he only briefly tried to turn it into "let's chase Mom" :) And he's been letting me sleep at night, not bugging me or anything. I love my kitty :) He doesn't know it yet, but Auntie Ina's coming to play with him this afternoon while I'm at work; he loves her.
Yay for Matt! And for Jcat for planting all those flowers - that is hard work!

Right there with you jcat..Hurricanes frighten me to no end..that's why I like Ohio...we have really nothing...we have a very small fault like and once every 5 years get a rumble or something but nothing major at all. We do have the occasional tornado but in the more rural areas. Cleveland hasn't gotten hit by a tornado since the 50's I think.

Hi CM,Jcat,AV & SOM. I'll have an English muffin thanks. Just checking in before I head off to bed. But we all know what happens when we start chatting on TDK. You suddenly find an hour has slipped by.

Hi everyone! Taking today off; a bit of a headache today. I always push myself and today have decided not to.
Congrats to Matt! Firefighters have my utmost respect and admiration; they are so couragous. I know he will find much satisfaction in helping people.Posted 2 years ago by JoanfromNewJersey #

Evening MS and Morning Joan.
I hope your headache gets better soon Joan. I know how those feel and they are not fun. I have a slight one and I am praying it goes away before the girls get up.If I suddenly disappear, it's because the girls got up and then I am scarce for the rest of the day.. just to let everyone know. I miss chatting more often.

...... saw the new Harry Potter film last night..... it was good, in keeping with the others..... funny thing was, it was "late" for me (got home after midnight), so I think I slept through parts :( I really need to go back and read the last two books again....... there's a lot of stuff I've forgotten!
..... I also bought the next book club book, "the brief histor of the dead".... now that I've finished the Twilight series, I'm at a loss!

Well done CM's Matt. Nothing quite like a proud Auntie.

Good morning, all! Yay for Georgie being such a good boy!! Yay for Abbie sitting and Maddie trying the potty! :)
I'm glad today's Thursday! It seems like this week went pretty fast - probably because I skipped the new job on Monday to go to the mechanic. I'm looking forward to the weekend.
My pet-sittting client came over last night around 9:45 after I came home from wrk to drop off a car for me. Usually her daughte drives it, but she's away til the end of the month and they offered that I could drive it. Yay!
I got my car back yesterday and had the belt etc. changed but I still need a new water pump. It's really hot here and I drive at least 80 miles a day so chances ar the pump will go any day. I'm glad I can drive the other car for a while until I can pay to get the pump fixed. -
jcat, could you come to my house and do the landscaping? We need to rip out bushes and plant new things that is low maintenance and pretty to spruce up the house. We are not plant or yard people...lol

Morning GD. Thank god you have use of another car, that was nice of them. I hope you can get your car fixed soon. Why does everything go on the car at once? I know we need them, but cars are a pain in the tush.

GD, that is really nice of your client. But then I've noticed, nice things like that seem to happen to nice people like you, wonder why that is ;-)
CM, that is so sweet but you really do not want me landscaping your yard. About seventy percent of what I plant dies :( I figure I must be an optimist to go on planting it...

What comes around goes around. I believe that. It may take a while..but it does..
GD does good things and good things come to her.Posted 2 years ago by cricketsmama #

Jcat, I saw that you got 125 bulbs planted today and I'm impressed. Well done. Today was busy as I had to pick Mr MS up from work and drop him at the doctors to get the results of his shoulder x-rays and ultrasounds, outcome is he's on the waiting list to see the orthopaedic surgeon as his shoulders are knackered. one even has something totally detached from the bone. Then I took him back to work, home for lunch then grocery shopping with Mum. I brought her back here afterwards and surprised her with a video chat with Airy. They talked sewing as Airy was cutting out a dress. Then back to pick Mr MS up from work tonight(he's on 12 hour days) and finally home at 7.30pm with roast meals we bought.

..... I echo Kilroy, Jcat - that IS a lot of flowers, I bet its'a absolutely beautiful!.... can you post some pics?
.... I've always wanted a garden, but Fla. isn't the easiest, it's hard enough just to keep my grass, we've been on stringent water restrictions for years now!..... I do have some pretty porch plants.... I like to grow my "herbs and spices" in window box type pots that I set on the railings of my verandah.... I also have some beautiful jade plants that keep growing so big that I keep having to split them...... and I have this really cool Israile plant that a lady gave us about 5 years ago that she brought all the way from Jeruselem......
-
ahhh but jcat, that means 30 percent lives! More than what I try to do.

Good morning all! I will have a delicious belgian waffle, syrup and some BACON! I am pooped today and am ready for a nap. I stayed up way past my bedtime last night. It was worth it, just wasn't used to that since my surgery. Yay, Matt! Con-cats! Interesting, another firefighter! LOL
