  1. Hello,
I've read many of the other posts about a new kitten that meows all the time, but none seem to fit my situation accurately.
I already had a kitten that was about 13 or so weeks old, with a very strong personality. She's very playful, pretty dominent, and likes a lot of attention.
Well, I had a friend ask me to take another kitten off her hands because she was going to have to get rid of it if I didn't, so obviously I was glad to give this new kitten a home. She's a girl as well, and only about 3 to 4 weeks younger than my other cat, Nebula, but she's much different.
She seems a lot more timid, doesn't really like to be picked up or petted, not aggressive at all so she's getting picked on a lot by my other cat. (hissing, growling, swatting) She doesn't really run away from my other cat, she just kind of sits there and takes it.
I've provided her with her own food and water bowls, I try to give her as much attention as possible (which she doesn't seem to like very much) and I let her sleep with either me or my roommate everynight. No matter what room she's in she meows all night long. If I try to get up and soothe her she runs away. If I bring her on my bed she hops off, gets in the middle of the floor and meows ALLLLLLLL night. I have to work, and I haven't really slept in two days.
I know it's only been two days, but it's pretty intense and the fact that it's not attention or anything is leaving me feeling pretty helpless.

    Someone please help!

  2. She's a baby and she's in a new strange place. She's almost too young to be away from her mom. She's scared and she's lonely. She misses her mom and her siblings. The new place is big and nothing is familiar.

Get her box and put it on it's side with the opening facing out. Put some bedding into it (something that you have worn but not washed will help her get use to your scent) and a cuddly stuffed toy. Put it in a small room (the bathroom is perfect) and put her food and water as far away from her litter box as you can. Leave a light on. Make sure she has some toys. Make sure the toilet lid stays down.

Spend as much time as you can in there with her. Talk to her, read to her, pet her if she'll let you. It might take several days for her to get more comfortable with you and her new home.

Then you can slowly introduce her to the other kitten.
