   2 days ago i got a 4 in a half week old kitten, ive been feeding him chicken cat food. i notticed on the first day that he did not drink water nor have an interest in it, so i filled a cup 3/4 full of water and 1/4 full of cow milk. HE LOVES IT!! and has been drinking lots & peeing lots. Ive been looking in the litter tho and dont see ANY poo, i herd giving milk to a kitten causes diarrhea most of the time, but can it be whats making him not poop?
   he seems normal..playing..bitting..trying to attack things,exploring.

   he knows how to clean/groom himself. but i tryed
   useing a warmly wet cotton ball on his butt, he dosent like it. and didnt poop.

   should i bring him to a vet?
   do all kittens poop everyday?

   This is a very young kitten you have here, not even really old enough to be weened from the mother. As far as I know, you should still be giving him formula cat milk, not cow milk because that can cause digestive problems. Usually diarreah, but it could be what's causing him to be constipated. Give him tonight, and if he still hasn't gone, I would call the vet in the morning and ask for thier suggestion. Yes, kittens usually poop everyday, at least once a day. Especially if they are eating regularly. It is very important to be feeding him the correct kind of food though, like I said probably cat milk still, which can be found at somewhere like walmart, and then maybe also some canned/soft kitten food. They need to be fed kitten food up to 12 months, so at least get him some soft food for now, nothing hard at this point. Hope I helped some, good luck. =)

   i went to the pet store and bought some KMR and kitten caned cat food.
   a few hours later he went poop on his own!! im so happy he is fine and i did'nt have to end up taking him to the vet. I would have tookin him to the vet RIGHT away IF he seems to be like sick or acting differnt, but he seemed to be totalty normal other then the no poopin part. Thx tho. just thought id share how it turned out.

   You should probably call your vet, and ask him what kind of food you should feed your kitten since it isnt going to the bathroom at all.
